Re: nwr...but what does everyone use for
I use Redken Hair Glass serum before I dry my hair. It makes it really shiny, but if you have thin or fine hair, you need to be careful.
I also sometimes use Pantene Pro V mousse for fine hair if I need extra volume. I find that it gives me great lasting volume, and also smooths flyaways.

I just started using Rusk Brilliance. LOVE IT! and I use Suave Humectant conditioner. The combo of the two work really well for my hair (highlighted, straight, and very fine)

i use pantene pro v shampoo and conditioner. even though it has alot of silicone in it, it works.
before i dry my hair i use one or the other: keune straight and style
or
keune so pure crystal defrizz
one has alcohol and one doesnt.
i used to use gel, but this is so much better.

I second that. I used to buy cheap shampoo, like vo5 or suave. Then I splurged before the wedding and bought panten. My hair has been amazing. I will never go back.
I also sometimes use biosilk for the frizzy days

I completely sympathize because I have the same type of hair as you. Try Bumble & Bumble Thickening spray. It give your hair a little bit more texture so that it doesn't get stringy right away. I also like Rusk Thickening spray.

Re: nwr...but what does everyone use for
i love the redken hair glass serum Ms. Boston mentioned above!!! and i use 'SOYAWANTFLATHAIR' from big, sexy hair, its a spray i put in my hair before i flat iron it when i do-- so for flat iron girls, that protects it!! so good!
i use for shampoo/cond... i change it up every once in a while but my faves are:
Radient Red (like sheer blond for redheads) and rusk and redken products are great too
