NWR:finished my first big crochet project!!

i did it by hand!!! not with a knitting loom!!

Its not perfect but i am so proud of myself!! I made a baby blanket for my new baby cousin i did make a few mistakes and its not completly perfect on both sides but who wants a perfect handmade blanket anyways lol I am just proud i didnt wuit this time i always get so annoyed at myself that i quit like 20 min into making something lol

Beautiful...and you're right, homemade crochet stuff doesn't need to be perfect. The fact you made it with your own hands is so much more meaningful and important

Thanks ladies i didn't think i did too bad for my first one!! lol I always use a knitting loom to make stuff but i wanted to try this for the baby!

How did you find it as opposed to working with the loom? I still havent tried the loom yet.

i like the loom alot better because it is always straight and even you dont have to worry about counting spaces cause the looms are already spaced. but it was nice trying the hand crochet

That's gorgeous Heather! Isn't it the best feeling when you finish something you've worked so hard on??? That's how I feel whenever I finish one of my cross stitch pieces! I am sure your new baby cousin will love it (esp when she/he is old enough to know you made it for them!).

That's beautful!!!

It's not about how perfect the crochet stitches are, it's the love that you had in you to create something with your own hands for someone special in your life!! I once read an article in a crochet magazine about a little old lady who purposely made 1 mistake in each item she crocheted so it would be her own unique stamp on her work.
