We had free movie passes so decided to see it tonight - I didn't realize Alexandre aja from High Tension directed it - we liked that movie - the camera work was really great - it was better plot-wise than I expected, far less gore than hostel or the recent crappy horror flicks as of late - a little hoaky and campy, and yes, some scenes I couldnt deal with - I am so tired of knowing when I see animals that they are going to die - i am glad Beast survived, and I was going to write hate mail if anything happened to that cute little baby...

We liked it overall - theres my review - maybe NY Times is looking for a critic?

High Tension was surprisingly good... except for that RIDICULOUS TWIST ending! TOTALLY didn't make sense for the rest of the movie.

YES!!!! THANK you - we were like - What the EFF????

So, you saw it? My FH wants to see it. I like horror movies, but this one looks sick. I swear... we should have sat our FH's next to each other yesterday. I'm sure they would have hit it off!

I have to say I have seen them all - Texas Chainsaw - the old (a classic) and new (awful), Hostel (cringe worthy), House of Wax (horrible except for when Paris eats it and the audience cheered!), geez - what else... Well, ALL of them - we are horror buffs, and this one, really, is not that bad - a little gore, but no more so then all the horror flicks lately - better plots then most, the cast isnt as whiny or stupid - actually I found them likeable, and just really interesting at some points... but nothing that would give me nightmares - but you may go see it and say - wow, lipglossjunky SURE is a sociopath...

Oh Yeah - that one - I hated it! It was just sick, devoid of plot - and what was up with the montage of the family at the end laughing in the sunshine before they died? Oh please - and the hotel scene was disturbing - - I don't appreciate just gratuitous gore for the sake of gore - Hostel was a bit of that but at least the plot was different, so I could forgive that - I am curious about House of a Thousand Corpses though.... You know that big weird looking guy in Devil's Rejects and House? He had some deformity and died after Devil's Rejects - the movie was dedicated to him....

dude... couldn't even get through Devil's Rejects. We made it to part of the motel scene, and I made him shut if off. SICK. Well, I'm glad that that was the worst of them. That was just plain disturbing. Thanks! (never thought we'd talk about this on liweddings! lol.)

I know - I just told FH - ok, I found out the following tonight:

How much a marriage certificate costs
when to expect my invites
when to start my dress alterations
when to order the Ketubah
whether or not the LIW ladies liked Hills Have Eyes

He just shook his head and continued with his video game... at least I'm the productive one here...
