debating whether i should have a combined fam/friends or separate ones?
its so stressful when our fams come together..i remember being so stressed out at our eparty..the peruvians meet the polish..and they dont speak to each other...ahhhhhh
i'm getting nervous just thinking abt it..
i wish we could avoid this..but everyone has been asking when we're goiing to have them over and fh has already reserved the residents lounge in our building for 10/17...
suggestions/advice? should we have separate or combined?
I would do separate if nots a big hassle for ya to have 2

as in one for just my fam and another for just his fam or one for both of our fams and another for our friends?

i would have 2 seperate ones if it wont be too annoying and expensive, one for just your 2 fams (the more they meet the easier it will be) and one for your friends

i would have a few. have an intimate one with ur immediate families for a dinner in ur place.
have another one casual with ur friends.

I would have one for families it would help them get to know each other again before the wedding ! and then one for your friends

ITA- it would be good if both ur families had a few opportunities to meet before the wedding so it wont be so uncomfortable. im kinda in the same predicament.

thx ladies... talked to fh about this at lunch...
and its settled.. we're going to have 2..
1 for both families.....probably going to get some trays of food...should i decorate? i was thinking just balloons...
2. for friends.... so much more relaxed..just buying lots of bottles/beer and pizzzzzza
the 'family' housewarming party is going to stress me out.... got to clean everything...... try to get everyone to mingle...
