FI is freaking out as we speak .... I never ever imagined it would be this intense....I feel so bad for him (and everyone else taking this insane test). All the hard work will pay off soon though when its all behind you. Good Luck, and though I'm not taking the test myself I know how you feel!

THIS SUMMER HAS ABSOLUTELY S U C K E D. I better not have to go through this again...
Are you at the piers? I'm at Pier 88- I was really hoping for Javits b/c of the BarBri practice exam. Oh well...

Best of luck to all of you...

In TOTAL agreement about the yucky summer. FTRBRIDE - I am also at pier 88. I know that a few of our fellow grads are there as well. I was really hoping for Javitz too...but what are you going to do?
I took the PMBR practice exam today -- that was not so bad and a huge improvement from the bar/bri practice...I guess it helps to memorize (lol). Ok good luck girls (and a FH) we are almost there.

ME! I hate this summer. Bar studying is really, really horrible. I'm at Madison Square Garden instead of the Piers or Javits. I really hope I don't have to go through this again. Good luck to everyone who's taking it!!!

I'm finding the PMBR questions to be much easier than the BarBri questions. Anyone else? I wish I knew which were more like the actual exam...

FTRBRIDE - I went up over 20 points from the Bar/bri MBE (taken at Javitz) to today's PMBR MBE. Can I ask if the same holds true for you as well?
Note: I did about 40 points better on the Bar/bri at home MBE (taken the day after the Bar/bri Javitz MBE) - so I am taking all of these tests with a grain of salt. So long as I pass the actual bar exam it really does not matter how well I do now.
ets: I am using the bar/bri Javits MBE as the baseline MBE score.

I decided not to take PMBR- I guess time will tell if that was a good decision or not. Regardless, I've been doing a ton of PMBR questions from the books I have (from the 6 day course that was offered while we were still in school), and I'm finding the questions easier. I did about 30 points better on the BarBri at home exam. I have a PMBR practice exam that I think I'm going to do on Monday, so I'll let you know.

I did better on the PMBR than the Barbri practice exams, too. I'm not sure if it's because PMBR's questions were easier, or because I'm more familiar with the question formats and I had a chance to read some more between the tests.

Good luck!!! I took the bar last summer. One word of advice though -- make SURE you have your own digital watch for the exam. The proctors really messed up during our exam. By my watch, I had about 5 minutes left and was rushing to finish a section but they didn't announce the last 15 min or 10 min (I can't remember which they announce) remaining. All of a sudden, they said '15 minutes' (or 10? either way)?? They realized their mistake a few minutes later and called time. I just felt bad for the people who were relying on the proctors to determine how much time they had left.

Don't freak out too much though. It's *hard*, especially the NY multiple choice, but it's definitely do-able.

SOmeone was saying at the Feb exam the Javitz center was doing repairs & banging was made during the entire exam can you image. I am at pier 90...all I hope is that there is air conditioning.

Make sure you bring ear plugs because even when it's 'quiet' in the Javitz Center, it's still really loud. Just kind of a humming sound. There were cars toward the back, like maintenance vehicles, and one of the alarms started going off 1/2 way through the afternoon portion

Re: NWR:I know there are some of you out there...

So that explains all the banging during the practice exam....makes me re-think how unhappy I was about having to take it at the piers. Yeah, I second the notion for air-conditioning at the piers.

Jennysunshine, thanks for your good thoughts and wishes!

Re: NWR:I know there are some of you out there...

FI is at Jacob Javitz for the exam...He is using his laptop, I guess he was in some lottery and ended up being able to use it. His first Barbri practice test he was very discouraged after, then he took the at home one and went up alot, he took PMBR practice today and felt good too...like someone said today, I think he takes it all with a grain of salt. I give all of you girls (an him) alot of credit....Good Luck with it...you are almost there!!!!! ( I feel bad for all your FI's, I miss FI so much while he is studying all summer )

My FH is taking it at one of the piers. I forget which one. He found out right after he took the BarBre practice at Jacob Javits. He did well on that practice and from what I hear you all saying that may have been the hardest practice test. His spirits are really low. I just hope he is confident enough to pass this damn thing. I miss him so much while he is studying and I so hope he (and all of you) don't have to take it again. PLEASE!!! What a ***** to study for.
