I would to be safe...if he's an indoor cat the mouse could be carrying things the cat doesn't have a built up immunity to.

Call the vet and see what they say. They might tell you to see how he feels/acts if your cat has all his shots. My cat has caught plenty of stuff before and he is an indoor cat so I have been through this.

He got his rabies and distemper in December so they said he will be ok. BTW...mice are disgusting. We are in nyc...I don't think I've ever seen a mouse this color, it was almost black. Maybe it was a baby rat. Seriously, I wanted to puke.

lol...I hesitated about posting this cause that is what I thought too.
When I was younger we lived in a 100+ year old house and the basement had tons of mice. That house was huge and well taken care of but that didn't seem to deter the mice at all.
My cat is so proud of himself right now. He's searching all over the kitchen for another one.

Ok, so yes, the story gets a little better. I scooped him up with a scoop and an old shoe that I had to get rid of. And...I threw out the shoe with one of my custom made orthodics in it. I had to go find the super to try and get it back from the incincerator. TBD on that one...he was busy.

my cats r outside and i cant tell u how many freakin birds they catch and look at me from the ouside door with it hanging out of its mouth looking to come in..i wait till they drop it,then hurry up n scoot them in..so gross but they do it out of love i swear
