Not to be gross but I had 3 nose bleeds today. Since i had 3, should I go to the Dr? Should I worry about it?

the dry air tends to do that to people. if it happens again tomorrow then i would worry.

my fiance always gets nose bleeds! some times we think he should go to the doctor and other times its just so normal.. i'd mention it at ur next check up unless it doesnt stop bleeding for hours and hours then id go but otherwise really its just the air! no worries!

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
Some people are just more prone in the dry weather. My husband used to get them all the time, he finally got sick of them and his doctor cauterize (sp?) some of the viens in his nose which were apparently close to the skin? Sorry, don't know all the gory details but I'm sure your doctor would know what I'm talking about! Anyway, he said it was painless and he hasn't gotten any since...well worth it. Might be worth checking into... Good luck!

I get them during the dry winter months
if you continue to get a lot then I would go see a doctor

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
I wouldn't run to the Dr. I get bloody noses a lot in the winter because of the dry air. When you go to bed, turn on a humidifier... if you don't have one, take a full glass of water and put it in front of the heating vent, that will work the same way as a humidifier.

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
Using a humidifier will definitely help. Also try a saline spray ( I use 'Ayr' - you can pick it up at Target, CVS or most other pharmacies). The saline spray helps moisurize your nose and should help prevent the bloody noses.

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
I second the suggestion for saline spray. It's just salt water, it has no side effects, and it helps moisturize you up there.
I use NaSal or the generic CVS brand - it's like $2 or less for a bottle.

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
Definitely get a humidifier. I would wake up to nose bleed 2 and 3 times a week last winter. I went to the doc and she explained it was the dry weather and the dry heat inside the house. Get the one made by Vicks and use the Vicks vapor solution that comes with it. I can't sleep without it in the winter.

Re: NWR....nose bleeds
It's the weather. I've been getting them since I was little and there is really nothing the dr could do. Try a humidifer and also put some vaseline on a qtip at night and put the vaseline in your nose (that's what my doctor told me to do) HTH
