Hi ladies...I'm loving this warmer weather! I finally changed over my winter clothes to my summer ones, but wanted to buy some summer staples. I'm having trouble finding 2 things: 1) Colored jeans. I'm really not a fan of jeggings and that's all I can seem to find with color and 2) A maxi dress that I don't have to be 6 feet tall to wear! I'm 5'5 and most of the maxis I've seen are waaaay too long on me. I could also tailor them, but I'm wondering if any of you came across a dress for a shorter person?

I'm 5'5 too and I've found it almost impossible to find a cute maxi that doesn't look ridiculous on me. Luckily, I found two at the TJ Maxx in Kings Park! And they ALWAYS have colored jeans too, and I think that all TJ Maxx stores generally have the same thing so if theres one closer to you try that one. HTH!

Thank ladies! I'll check those stores out. I actually do have a Marshalls and TJ Maxx close by and I always forget about those stores. I have to return something at the Loft so I'll be sure to scout out their colored jeans.

Ok, Don't judge, but I was with a friend looking for kids shoes at Kmart and we passed about 10 rows of colored jean racks. Now I am not interested in colored jeans because I don't need attention on my legs, but I did notice that there seemed to be a ton of them. So check out the big K lol and hey they're probably so cheap that if you get sick of them it's no biggie lol

Kohl's! Duh!!! I even have their charge card haha. Thanks ladies! Idk why I blocked out so many of these stores. My thought process was 'oh well...express and AE don't have them. I guess I can't find it'

also, Old Navy has a lot of colored jeans and maxi dresses.
Just kidding, apparently the colored jeans aren't jeans, but are made of the material that khakis are made of.

i wore a maxi dress today to work!!! I got mine at tjmaxx....and since i love color and wear just about every color every day! (yeah i have an exotic sense of fashion) I have tons and tons of color jeans that I got from jcrew & NY and co!! :)
as for the maxi dress I am 5'2 and have a small frame and somehow i make it work!! if not, i just get it hemmed!

I'm 5'0, so I go straight to the little girl's section. I fit into a little girl's size 16. Perfect length most of the time too.
Some stores carry little girl's plus sizes up to size 20 too.

I'm right there with you I don't even come close to making the height requirement for a maxi dress. I am 5'1. Even in children's I can't wear cause I am a dd chest so I don't fit into the little band space they give lol.
