I was wondering if anyone has any idea of using NYC landmarks as centerpieces, how would that work with flowers, can florists work with that. Any brides doing or did this. caligirlinnyc

I am having a NYC theme rehearsal dinner and using pics of different landmarks in the city. I think it is a great idea.

AHHHH I have the greatest cake pic for you, its the nyc skyline it is gorgeous but I am staying at FH's for a few days straight without going home bc he had his wisdom tooth pulled out so gotta take care of him lol...But WAIT i just realized it might be a colette peters cake, let me see if its on her site.
Actually I went to a wedding where they did something like this. They had regular flower centerpices at each table but instead of table #'s they had table names and the names were different sites around nyc and they had their photographer take shots of them in front of those locations. We were at the empire state building and there was a picture of the two of them in front of the empire state building, the sign in board was a map of manhattan. It was very cute!

wow that's great!! I like the cake, but I might go traditoinal on that...lol I've thought of the flower/ frame idea. I like the map, so people signed in on a map? Is that what they did? How do you have your pics on your posting, tell me how to do that? caligirl

yea it was a light colored map and people signed over it and it also had a picture of the couple somewhere in nyc, I forgot where.

oh and if you look under where you type when you post a response there are buttons that say choose file, you can choose any file from your computer to post but it has to be smaller than 60 kb

LOL, that's actually the route I'm going as far as the mini replicas. I'm a teacher, so I've thought of having my kids do paper mache for me...lol
