I am trying to figure my b-party out for next weekend... want to go someplace nice - upscale where it's more of a lounge-y type than a clubby type. Make sense?? Want to be able to sit and talk to my friends and not just stand around a dance floor... any suggestions? I'm open to all areas on the island also thanks!!

Re: NYC girls - bachelorette party help needed!
What about getting a table at the Donkey Show? Otherwise, what about someplace with an outdoor garden?

What's the Donkey Show?

It's a disco recreation of Midsummer's Night Dream.
And you can't really talk over it, IMO.
But I am biased because I didn't care the Donkey Show. Maybe others who have gone have been able to talk over the singing, etc?

No, nothing like that.. There has to be somewhere that is like a lounge. But thanks for the suggestions!

If lounging is what you want to do, go all out and head over to a spa. Some offer bachelorette party discounts.

I guess I'm explaining this wrong. I want somewhere bar-y that we can go to have drinks and dance BUT can also just sit and talk if we chose to do so. Like a lounge. Anything?

AZ is a bar in Chelsea that has a very loungy upscale feel without being too over the top. Not sure if there is dancing there but they have some nice appetizers and drinks...as well as a set up that allows people to sit around and chat.

What about Creme on the west side. I just remember it being lots of different rooms...some with dancing some with couches and tables....each room has a different theme.
Lava Lounge is fun...but very trendy.

Thx! I'll check those places out. My girls are not exactly the 'going out' type, so, we're all trying to figure out something good to do. I need the help
