FSIL told me she made reservations at Tao for dinner August 10 after we see a show for part 2 of my bachelorette party (part 1 is occuring w/ my MOH and other BM cuz remember my girls don't get along )
She thinks it'd be really cute to see Mamma Mia since it's about a wedding and all.
Has anyone seen the show and/or eaten at Tao? I was looking at the menu for Tao and it seems SO exotic - I am sort of worried there's nothing there I would eat...
I'd appreciate any thoughts/feedback. Thanks, girls, as always

Tao is awesome! I'm a super picky eater, but I love it there. My company has our xmas party there often, and it is an amazing place the food is super yummy (and so is the Tao-tini!).

Re: NYC girls - Mamma Mia & Tao - thoughts?
Haven't been to Tao, but I can speak for Mamma Mia.
It's a lot of fun! It's not a happy-go-lucky bride story, because there are twists and turns and what not, but it's a happy STORY and, when you're out and about near the time of your wedding, a happy story can help tremendously to take the load off your mind! I found it fun, but I also find everyone's different.
The film version is comparable to the broadway production, so why not check out the movie first and decide if that's a show you'd be willing to see? Trust me - there's no suspense breaking moments where you'll think the film will ruin the play for you! It's just a good, fun time!
Just WHATEVER you do in terms of food do NOT go to Spice Market!! At a bachelorette party I attended - in which being rescued by the FDNY from an elevator that was stuck for half an hour was the highlight of the evening (and I'm not exaggerating) - my friends and I landed there and wound up paying $95 for what was, essentially, a chicken skewer and a glass of water. Just don't ask!!!

I've never eaten at Tao, so I can't comment about that. I did see Mamma Mia and I LOVED it!!! It was so much fun. If you like ABBA, or just that type of music, then I think you will have a lot of fun. The songs are stuck in your head and you really just want to get up and dance. At least my mom and I did!!

Tao is really great and fun but you may have to wait a LONG time even with reservations. I had to wait ONE HOUR with reservations (for a table of just 2) when I went there last month. Apparently, this is not new.
If you're patient, you'll have a great time!
