you can always try to fight it, sometimes you get lucky and the officer doesnt show up for the court date, happens but not all the time.
Also depends on why you got the ticket, is there any way you can defend your case?

SERIOUSLY!!!!!! W** not fair haha. Here there are traffic violations courts that you go to. And even if you pay it the points still stay on. We can get points taken off but we have to do the defensive driving course in order to do so.

You should go and try to fight it, they sometimes offer 'deals' like less charge with less points and less money. My brother did that recently here in Queens.
FH got a ticket in Nassau and his fine got reduced and the points were reduced but not removed.

alot of ppl i know do try and fight it even when they are wrong. Ive never had to do this but many have told me that if the officer who gave you the ticket doesnt show up for the court case then its dismissed so i think alot of ppl just hope for that to happen.

The good thing here about fighting is that if the cop doesnt show up to the hearing (which happens a lot) they have to let the tickets go. . or they will usually reduce the charge somewhat but I don't know if they will do that if you have no real reason. . good luck
