NYC girls - restaurant suggestions in the village?
I think I may want to do nakedboyssinging for my bachelorette party - they have dinner packages with jekyll and hyde or the garage, but only mon-thurs. I need to find someplace cool in the village, that takes reservations on a Sat. night?? Any ideas, thanks!!

I went to Puglia for a friends b-day and we hated it-maybe we should have been drunk before we got there but the food wasn't that good and the horrible wine is served in refillable bottles.-

What about LIPSWe went to PennyFeathers after my bachelorette party at Naked Boys singing
Naked boys singing is a play, where all the men in the show perform absolutely naked. It was a shock at first but after the show goes on you don't even notice the penises anymore. I think it was very funny

Sushi Samba is a good place but it can be pricey. They have great drinks! Another suggestion is Caliente Cab. Good frozen margaritas!!

Re: NYC girls - restaurant suggestions in the village?
Puglia's is really fun for a bachelorette party. I went last year and had a blast and the food was ok and relatively cheap.I also agree with the other places that others recommend.
Other places:
- Cafe Espanol
- Riodizio (I think it is right acros sthe street from Naked Boys singing) - It is haevy eating though
- First
- Lucky Chengs
Wish I knew more but I am not really a village person!

Mangia e Beve was TERIIBLE....I went ther for my Bachlorette party and my friend made reservatiosn for 8 and we did not sit till 9:30 and we paid more than they guys did and they went to Angelo Maxies and a stip club..and the food was just very plain..not worth city prices

I lived in the village for five years and have tons of suggestions- but was wondering if you looking to really sit down and eat and drink or more of a wild, festive place? I do think Lucky Chengs is a great idea for a slightly raunchy, novelty night. I would advise against Jekyll and Hydes though- I used to wait tables there and could tell you some stories!

Re: NYC girls - restaurant suggestions in the village?
we went to Sazerac house on Hudson with about 12 people, it is not anything crazy, but in dealing with a mgr there, they made up a limited prix fixed menu, and even put the bachelorettes name on it! they were sooooooo nice and it was somewhere different than the usual places.

I don't want to do lucky chengs or lips, I think the show is going to be enough, just somewhere cool and a little lively to have a bite to eat and some drinks - I have a feeling that show is more fun if you've had a few! any suggestions would be great!I had thought of hunkmania too, but some of the girls might not like the interactive nature, with this show they are all up on stage, and I figure the 10pm show lasts 90 minutes, which is a great time to then go out in the village! Also, any suggestions for places to go out after in the village would be great thanks!!

Some ideas...
I'm not really sure of the kind of night you're looking for
but here are some ideas...Bar Pitti on 6th Ave and Bleeker-excellent 'rustic' Tuscan food. Reasonably priced, tables on the sidewalk.
Cowgirl Hall of Fame-Hudson and W 10th. Bar, restaurant, candy shop. Sometimes loud, crowded, fun scene. Great margaritas, Frito pie!! Not sure about reservations here.
If you're in the East Village, we like 3 of Cups-great pizza and bar food, nice lounge downstairs, really great bartenders. Fun place, but more low key and loungey.
Have fun!!

Sushi Samba is right across the street from Naked Boys - if you like sushi, its awesome. Great food, fun drinks and a lively atmosphere.Drinks before the show are definitely recommended.

Oh, forgot about Sushi Samba! Yes, I'm pretty sure it's near the Actors Playhouse (that's where NBS is playing, right?). Sushi Samba is on 7th Ave South and Barrow. Call the theatre for the cross street, just in case. I think they are right down the block from one another.BTW, Sushi Samba is a blast! Do your best to get a table up on the roof terrace.
Have fun!!

Ooops, forgot to mention, there are two Sushi Sambas...one is a little further uptown, closer to Union Square. You definitely want the one on 7th Ave. South.Welcome New Vendors
