Il Cortile-Little Italy-highly recommended. You can eat til you splode!
There's also a midtown eatery called Osteria Stella. 50th and 7th-a little more upscale.
I have to agree! Il Cortile is awesome!!!!!!!!! The best Italian I have ever had.

Yes! Try Paola's -- it's on 84th off of 2nd. As for their wine room -- it really is beautiful and the food is delicious!

Try DaSilvano, Lupa, Babo, Il Mulino first two are less pricey.

La Mela in Little Italy---they specialize in bachelorette parties but they have other events too. Plus u can just have dinner
This place was terrible! Fh and I usually go to Amici II, but decided to try something different. The waiter ignored us most of the time, the food was terrible and there was an annoying guy with a guitar (almost like the people you see playing in the subway). You couldn't pay me to go back there.

Tony DiNapolis. Great food, Great Service, And Very Resaonable pricing. I always swore by Carmines until we tried this place and now it is my favorite by far. And they are alot nicer there. JMO
Forlini's Restaurant on Baxter Street is very very good.

I know an AMAZING restaraunt - it is called Antica Venezia -its on West 10th Street. It seems to be a hidden gem. The service is unbelievable and the food is great. I went with a group of 7 girls. When we arrived I was a bit apprehensive because it has a very romatic atmosphere (I could definitely picture somebody proposing there!!) so I thought it woudl be more of a date spot. We had a great time. I highly recommend it.
