NYC GTG 8/19....NOW A POLL FOR A VENUE

THe majority people picked the gtg for 8/19. Now its time to pick a venue.

You know you're addicted to LIW when you call and beg FH to reschedule a pre-marital counseling session, since thats whats keeping me from this GTG!

If Im not working that day, Maybe i will hop the train from Poughekeepsie and meet you guys.

I so need a gtg...Ive been crazed with stress Plus I can drink since I wont be driving.

Keep me as a maybe ok?

I'm in Midtown sort of on the UES...any other area besides Times Square? I kinda loathe the crowded vicinity.

Have any of you ladies been to Divine Bar or anything in the restaurant district?

If not, I'll suck it up and go to Times Square...

so far, it looks like people want to go to chevy's. its on 42nd, right off of 8th ave.

I voted for chevys cause I can leave grand central and walk right over....it would be very convienet for me ...especially since Im coming from 2 hours away

I've been to Chevy's a bunch of times and it a good bet. Yes it is crowed, but it is also pretty central and fairly cheap.

BTW is there a list of people who are going -- where can I sign up?

I've wanted to try Divine Bar! They have some really great wine tasting classes from what I've heard.

I've never been to Chevy's though -- looks like a lot of people are interested in that place!

Any girls from LI planning on going? I get out of work at 5:30 and could hop on a train from Great Neck if anyone wants to come with me.

OO i've been waiting for a LI girl to want to go. I will come with you if you want. I hate going to the city alone.

Don't hate me, but I think all of those choices stink!!! We're in NYC - why go to a chain??

There are lots of low cost alternatives. If we are trying to stay in the same area - Divine bar is great and so is Social - it's on 8th ave between 48th and 49th.

If you want to stay near Penn, there is a great rooftop bar at Metro Hotel (i think that's what it's called) and they just opened a new Local on 8th and 34th and it has a big rooftop.
