Fh decided to spend a little extra and stay at a nice hotel in the city--then the next day (if I can function at all haha!) spend the day in the city and then go home...And leave for hm day after..
Problem is, I've gone to the city a handful of times--and that was for Christmas time to see the tree or meet Nikki Sixx..
Can anyone recommend some nice hotels for me to check out?

well around what price range? i can recommend alot of hotels but many can be VERY pricey so dont want to go over what you are willing to spend.
We also stayed in the city the night of our wedding, we stayed 2 nights since our hm wasnt until 5 days after

You also should try to do some on priceline or hotels.com etc b/c you are actually close to the date, you could get a good deal on something.. some of the more boutique ones won't be on there but some of the bigger ones are. . .

You need to edit your post to include the cost you are willing to spend. The hotels I want to reccommend cost and arm and a leg, because we use them for business reasons, but if you are capping yourself at $200 a night then that is a different story!

I stayed at the Hyatt on my anniversary and LOVED it!! It was amazing... the service was great and there is a really cool lounge in the hotel. It was close to everything... which is important too!

I love the W in Union Square...and also the Westin in Times Sq. Gansevoort is also great. And the Mandarin Oriental. All of these are pretty pricey...but since it's your wedding night you might want to splurge. Oh...and Le Meridien is also really nice

The Soho House is spectacular! The Soho Grand is very nice too. The W in Union Square is nice and FH recommends the Marriot Marquis in Times square.

I love the Bryant Park Hotel. The rooms are really cool and surprisingly large for NYC hotel rooms!

I LOVE THe London Hotel in NYC. Its the best and the rooms are HUGE!!!!! We went there right after we got engaged. And I just took my mom and my Moh to dinner there. Its amazing and the customer service there was outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
