I applied for my license in the Manhattan Clerk's office. I still have not received the certificate. Should I be concerned and if so, who do I contact? I keep getting the run around with all of the numbers I have tried! ARGH!
We didn't receive ours either so my DH just went down to city hall and got it there. They said that they were backed up and that's why they hadn't sent it out yet! BS.
In NYC when you apply for the License..what documents do you need? We want to get ours out there bc FH works down the block and we can just do it during his lunch break one day. We don't have to live in NYC to get our license there do we?
We just went with our passports and drivers license. I dont even think we needed the licenses. And know your social security number of course (I say that because I brain farted while there and could not think of mine!!!). It was not bad at all there... very fast/easy process. As long as you live in NYS and will be married in NYS, you are fine.
Thanks.... I was getting very concerned. This is setting back the name changing process as well as benefits, etc. That is a good idea to just go there to pick it up. Thanks
