NYC Marriage License

Okay, this may be a dumb question but...
Are we suppose to receive a 'Marriage License' from the City Clerk's office as well as one from the church we were married in?

We registered for our license in Manhattan and were married in a Catholic church. A few weeks ago we received what I thought was our license from the church. But as of today we haven't received anything from the City.
Does anyone have the number for the Clerk's office?

The NYC Marriage Bureau will issue you a Marriage Certificate once you mail the completed license. I JUST got mine yesterday 10/25 and I was married on September 9th. However, I got mine in Brooklyn which apparently is notorious for long waits (i was told 6-8 weeks when I called).

I got married 9/16 and got my marriage cert back from the city clerk's office on 10/06 ~ about 3 weeks.

I would definitely call...at least to put ur mind at ease.
