NYC nails?

NYC nails?

I want to get some gel tips of whatever put on for an upcoming party. I need a nice french manicure. Done tastefully of course but still hot. Anyone have a good place and person in Manhattan or Astoria/LIC to recommend?

There are bloomie nails all over. I don't do tips so I can't comment on their work.
I go to Jay Nails all the time on 9th street and broadway. (by my office) I'm actually going there today after work for a mani pedi!! Then meeting FH for dinner at the mermaid inn

My recommendations are for cheap nails!! I don't know where you are in NYC, but I always go to get my nails done on 55th and 9th. There are actually a few great places around there and are SUPER cheap.

If you're in midtown, there is a great nail/spa/waxing place on 55th btwn 6th and 7th. It's called NY Nails & Spa. It's really big and they even have a little juice/tea lounge inside. When I worked on 54th and 6th I used to go there for my mani/pedis and all my waxing (except for brows, I go somewhere else for that). Here's the link:

I used to go to NY Nails when i worked at Hearst and they were at their original location. My nails were in the best shape of their lives when I was going there.

Definitel recommend.

Is Amy still there? She gave the best massages.

I really like Bloomie Nails. They have a ton all over the city and I think they do a great job.

I haven't been there in a year or so, I work downtown now. I loved them because they use 2 girls on you when you're getting a full leg wax so they're done in like, no time flat. Did you work at the new Hearst tower on 57th? What's it like in there, it's looks so....interesting.....from the outside....?

Yeah, the new Hearst tower! I heard they have a crazy cafeteria. My friend works there but not in the new building.

I work downtown also in the E. Village.

No I leaft before the Hearst Tower was built, but I did work in that builing before they made it the Hearst tower. They had just strted the plans of making the tower when I left. I have been back and the building is really cool...totally green.....even the furniture.
