NYC restaurant help I was considering Jekyll and Hyde

Original post by MrsK2008

Or a similar venue.

I would like to take my family to a fun, upbeat place that will wow them and rock their socks.

Priced reasonably, like up to 50$ a person.

Any suggestions?

TIA

xoxo

Oh my god....I love this place...I've only been once...but I'm dying to go back. I have to admit that I was on red most of the time...there is just too much meat to eat....

Manja & Beve is a lot of fun. It's a small Italian cafe on 52nd and 9th I believe. They hand out tambourines, lower the lights and a lot of singing goes on. It's so reasonably priced. But you must make reservations and they only sit at certain times. This place can get a little loud, so if that is a concern, then maybe not the place for you.

Good luck!

Jekyl and Hyde is a fun place but the food isn't great.

I agree with the food not being so good here. And watch out for the extra 'entertainment' fee they charge per person. It's a bit annoying.

Carmine's is the best!!! Go to the one uptown in the 90's - it's bigger than the Times Square one. If you have a party of 6 or more, you can make a reservation. Otherwise try to go before 5pm so you don't have to wait hours for a table.

Ruby Foos is always also fun and they accept reserations for any size party.

The Hawaiian Tropic Zone is fun too.

I am not a big fan of Jekyle and Hyde - the food isn't that good at all.
