Do you go there during the school year too? That's where I go!
I'm a L.I. teacher, but today was my last day too! I just want to share in your joy as well. I'm getting married in 2 weeks and a day, going on our HM and then relaxing for a full month and two weeks!!
Congratulations to all of you getting married this summer!!! You must be so excited!!!

Lots of plans for this summer:
• wedding to-do list: florist, shoes, DIY aisle runner, addressing invitations myself, finishing DIY centerpieces, preliminary program layouts, ketubah/glass to break......
• celebrating our 3-yr dating anniversary on 7/28
• going on business trip w/ FH & helping out
• helping my sis & BIL get ready for the birth of their baby in Aug (my 1st nephew!)
• visiting my parents in FL
• unpacking & finally fixing up our new apt
Looking at this list is making me tired just thinking about it!!

Since you're a teacher and also getting married after the school year has begun, I'm wondering if you're having the same dilemma I'm having about changing my name.
When I go back in Sept, I'll still be Ms. S. Then in Nov, after the wedding, I'll be Mrs. C. When should I do the name-change thing? Are you changing your name? I've asked some coworkers, but they all got married in the summer and came back as Mrs. So-and-So. I've considered doing the hyphenated thing for a while to ease the change, but it's then a way-too-long name and a mouthful for the kids to call me! Any advice? TIA!

me tooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! My new name is much harder to say......I feel wierd starting with a name that isnt mine so Im gonna make the change in November and hope for the best..lol
what the hell was i thinking leaving teaching?? I miss my paid summers off even though the kids were monsters!!

Thanks!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!!! FH would LOVE me to begin the school year with his name, but I also feel weird about, considering it's not my name yet. Plus there's something, a feeling that I can't quite put into words, about coming back after the wedding with FH's name.
