What will it take for us to have a snow day?? I've been working in the city for almost 4 yrs and NOT ONE snow day!!! How many inches does it have to snow in order for them to have a delayed opening or snow day?? Its ridiculous and dangerous for me to be driving from LI to the city... ughhhhh

unfortunately I think that they are reluctant to close the schools because WHERE are all of those kids going to go? Most of their parents are working, so who will watch them?

NOT that I think this is a valid reason to keep schools open. IMO, it's more dangerous and annoying to keep them OPEN.

Hopefully, we will have good news in the AM!!!

Its def more dangerous for us to be driving in this weather. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

I have come to a decision...I am not going in tomorrow. It's not worth getting into an accident. F@%# Bloomberg!!! I just read an article about how he said if you are going into the city, to leave your cars where they are. It will be too dangerous to drive. Wonderful! So close the schools!!!!!!!!!v

just found out they closed my school- i'm at a charter school- we are supposed to be on the nyc doe schedule with these types of things- but i'm not sure. they could've made an independent decision... i'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies!!!

I can't believe that we are still open!! Every other district is closed AND they keep saying, very dangerous driving conditions. I wish I could take off, but I know the administrators in my building will pay close attention to who comes in and who doesnt and we all know how that goes.

NYC schools closed??? It s not on their website yet!!!

NO JOKE!!! I just looked at my car and then at the street for 5 mins and decided its too dangerous for me to drive... and heard cbs say it but then went to commercial!! PLEASE TELL ME NYC schools are closed!!!!!!!!!

It was on 1010wins. I've been glued to the tv an still havent seen anything on tv. BUT someone who works at my school said it was on channel 4, and I've been watching channel 5.

They just said it on Channel 2, but NOTHING on they nyc website...oh thank god!!!!!!!! I just need confirmation lol

I know my poor fh shoveled out my car for me for like 15 minutes it was completely covered AND they haven't even started plowing, it def is too dangerous to drive.
