Just wanted to add that me and FH took a vacation to Oahu a few years ago and also stayed at the Outrigger on Waikikki Beach. It was one of the more affordable hotels but the rooms were gorgeous-we had ocean/Diamond Head view and everyone was so accomadating there. If you want I can scan some pics of the room/views etc...

Please do, I asked the TA about forgetting Oahu and she said it would end up costing more because it is cheaper to stay in oahu than kaui or Maui so i am just gonna keep it the way it is.

i think i am gonna book it tonite!

I've stayed at the Hyatt twice, nice place. My parents have stayed at the pink hotel the Royal Hawaiin. I think the Hyatt is quieter and the Royal has a lot more going on because it is one of the original hotels. Skip the Pearl Harbor exhibit--waited on line for 2 hours and after the tour was asking myself..is that it? If you have the time and money go to Maui, spent a month there..outrageous place. LOL
