he is very down to earth, & doesnt make u feel uncomfortable at all...very easy to talk to. It is just him and a midwife @ the practice so it doesnt feel like a factory there.

I'm not the original poster, but thanks! I'm going to check out the Lynbrook and RVC Dr.'s. I recently moved from North Shore to South Shore and don't have any doctors here yet!

Thats not what's gross - the fact that she has not gone yet and is willing to post it is. Sorry - but I know I am not the only one that feels this way.

some people are scared to go- who are you to judge her? and if you think that way, you should keep it to yourself.

i'm sure there are plenty of people on here who want to call you certain things for being so judgmental but aren't. so maybe you should keep your negative comments to yourself.

Dear Jennifer,

Thank you for pointing out how the fact that I have not been to a Gyno as of yet does not tickle you the right way. Your concern for my well being is taken into consideration; however since you were so great in pointing out that I have not gone 'yet'' - I thought I'll share some reasons why girls/women do not go the gyn until they are married:

1. In many cultures girls are NOT sexually active prior to marriage (as in mine) so mothers do not make it a point to take their daughters to the gyn unless she has some menstrual or hormonal issues..

2. Girls are not sexually active and healthy - so even the gyn.. yes I did say that.. there are gyns even in New York who will do a pap smear on a girl who are sexually inactive..

3. Fear, there are many women out there who are afraid to spread their legs to strangers, you might not have that issue but for many that it is embrassing and fearful

I could go on and on.. but of course the other lovely brides have given you plenty info to soak in..

Happy planning and best wishes!!
