obgyn question...before ttc

did you make an appt. with you doc before you tried to conceive and if so what did you say when you made the appointment just that you want to talk to the doc about trying to conceive...and how far in advance did you see him/her???

I went for my annual visit in August. I spoke to my dr. about TTC. I am on meds so of course thats a concern.
He put me on pre-natal (duet) and of course have to make sure there is folic acid in my diet. Have to eat healthy, exercise, etc.
Make an appt. w/your ob/gyn and ask questions. My dr. was great and answered all my questions.

BTW I dont plan on TTC until the spring (if all goes well with my meds.)

I just had my appt. last week to discuss TTC with my dr. We want to TTC seriously around Dec. but went off the pill to get my body ready. (which my Dr. told me I could start TTC right after going off the pill- you don't have to wait)

I basically asked what I should do now to make sure it's a healthy pregnancy and how long to wait to TTC after going off the pill. He gave me a prescription for vitamins for me and DH and wished us luck!

Oh- I also asked him about which hospital I would be delivering at and about the other Dr.'s in the office who deliver since it's a large practice and they will be 'passing' me around so I get to know all of the once I'm preggo.
