Has anyone heard the stautus of this hotel? The travel agent mentioned nothing but my friend (who just went to aruba the end of march) said it was no where near done. She was actually booked there and had to book a different hotel a month before. AHHH!

I went to Aruba with FH last year It is soooooooooo NICE you will love it ...I stayed at the aruba grand its on the strip. Honestly the Raddison was a very nice hotel i would look into that one plus its on the strip with all the Hotels...

I was in Aruba in january and people were saying that it wouldn't be completed until the end of the summer at the earliest. If you do book there and the hotel isn't ready, they will provide accommodations elsewhere. DH and I met 2 people at the Wyndham who originally booked the Occidental.

I was booked there but switched to Hawaii all together. But I did look at trip advisor -- apparently its open but a lot of it is still not finished.
I work in the hotel industry and I can tell you from experience that renovations very rarely are completed when hotels say they will be. If I were you, I'd switch. The Wyndam has an AI plan that I heard good things about and the Bucuti is supposed to be great for honeymooners.
