Ocean Beach (Fire Island), anyone ever stay there overnight???

Hey Ladies,
Just talking to my MOH, and ocean beach sounds like the place for my Bach. Party. Question is does anyone know of any house rentals for a weeked there or in the area. I would appreciate any help, or let me know of any decent hotels you have stayed in there too??? Thanks Everyone

Totally drawing a blank as to where we go every year for our summer outing at work ... hmm ... Fh says it is Ocean Beach ... we do the buffet at Flynn's and get rooms at a hotel right on the beach (name totally escapes me) for changing, etc. FH & I stayed there a few days before the outing. Cute, small pool but the place is really a dive. Good enough to change in & out of swimsuits but that's about it.

No word from Sachem - but they said it could take a while from this point - depending on he restructuring and I guess who they need where - you'll prob hear before me!
Already got my nice little rejection letter from Sayville - they wasted no time!

Flynn's is actually in Ocean Bay Park.

I rented for 5 summers @ Ocean Bay Park!!! Fire Island is a great place for a Bachlorette party

Be careful at Ocean Beach aka 'The Land of No'! The cops there are really strict! They will ticket you for anything. I like to go to Flynn's at Ocean Bay Park. That place is a blast!

I agree with Stacy. I used to be a share holder, so I am the first to say you'll have a blast. I'd stay in OBP as opposed to OB because of all the laws of the land. But I'd party in OB.

Either way, you'll have fun!

We also stayed in Ocean Bay park but its walking distance to Ocean Beach. We stayed on Cayaugh (sp) street like 6 houses from Flynns and it was party central.
The only issue that might arise is that most rentals go quick and are for the full season! Sometimes I have seen rentals for a week or a months but nothing less!
There is a really cheap hotel in OB called Jerrys (Imagine a college dorm setting) but it suits the purpose if you cant get anything else! and its close to everything!

You will have a blast its sooo much fun!!!!

ETA: I tried a search on yahoo(fire island rentals) and alot came up..

FI rentals

Hey- I've spent many many summer in Ocean Beach- I tend to like it better that OBP because there are more bars to go to. The police really won't bother you. I'm actually having my bach party there at the end of June. My MOH searched for available rooms online or you could try Dana Wallace- he's a realitor I've used in the past in ocean beach. Sorry-don't know the number. Hope that helps. Have a blast.
