FH and I stayed at the Park Place Hotel - it was PERFECT and we walked out of the hotel and right to the beach!!!!! Also had the pool ontop as well! very clean and the room were nice!

FMIL has a condo there, its amazing. jaccuzzi tub and everything. and the view is the best part. FM me if you want the info.

I had my bach party there and stayed at castle in the sand... its on 37th... so seacrets is def within walking distance... Had a room with a balcony facing the ocean... They have drink waitresses who serve you on the beach, a dining area, huge outdoor pool.... I really loved it there

Both places in OC look great - thanks for the tips and please let me know if you know of any other fun spots for a 'girls weekend' away! We've done AC/Foxwood/Mohegan so now we're looking for something a lil different.
