My midwife has taken me out of work as of 10/13 and my boss is fine with that. I am sure I will still check-in but I will no longer be on a real work schedule until 12 weeks after my baby is born.

I remember when you showed us your 'positive' pregnancy test picture. I can't believe how fast time has gone by!

I've officially been appointed to 'donut duty' And, after all of Michele's suffering during these 9 months, I do it with pleasure!

I am so glad you'll be getting a break from work a bit early - it really does help to keep you sane during the last few weeks. Plus, you'll be so busy making final preparations for the baby that you won't want to work!

I can't believe how soon the baby will be here! I'm SO EXCITED!

Each friend has a food that they must bring to the hospital in order to see the baby Claud is going to Krispy Kreme for my Jelly donut and that is her admission 'fee'

I am actually being taken out a few weeks early because of the diabetes and the compressed nerve. My boss has been wonderful to me and continues to be.

Midwife question: a midwife is OB/GYN care for women in a low-risk category. A midwife believes (typically) in a very natural way of healthcare. The one I go to is a single women practice- meaning that you do not see a bunch of different people in the practice and then whoever is on call delivers the baby. She is the person I see at each appt and she will be the one delivery my baby. If you have a lot of specific questions just FM me.

wow - that's great. How many weeks early is that from the due date?

You're lucky you're able to stay out for 12 more wks after the baby's born. At my place, it's 12 wks total, so if you had to go out early, the most you'd get is 6 wks for natural delivery or 8 for a C section.

Oh, and very cute on the 'admission fee' at the hospital

Re: Oct 13 is my last day 'officially' at work

I am due in about 9 weeks and many doctors will let you go out 2 weeks prior to your due date, even without real complications. My place is still giving me the full 12 weeks off afterwards, and then I have 12 weeks of 3-days per weeks until I go back 4-days per week. I am VERY lucky and know it.
Also, we have a supplemental insurance that pays me 80% of my paycheck (plus the State check) when out on disability. We couldn't afford for me to go out yet without that insurance coverage.
