Oct 6th 2001 Brides - Does it feel real yet?

Fellow Oct 6th brides ... Just wanted to know if anyone is going through the same thing as I am. The wedding is about 7 weeks away, the responses are coming in, I just picked the linens, the menu, told the band what to play, had my first fitting and just had my hair trail and my bridal shower and it STILL does not seem real. Kind of like this is a dream and its really not happening. When does it start to feel real? Is this normal or am I experiencing some type of pre-wedding stress disorder that I am not aware of :) Thanks and good look to all fellow Oct 6 '01 brides!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes.

I'm October 7th!! Haven't picked my linens & menu (September 11th meeting), ceremony music (most of my selections are done), met w/ the DJ (play and do not play lists are almost done), working on the programs (see post above) which may put me over the edge, AND my poor baby (FI) is sick as a dog and trying to work overtime for the wedding...sigh. Did I mention that we haven't picked OUR song yet? And I have a paper due on Monday (haven't started) + last final (EVER!!) on Thursday! Hmmm, on the other side, responses are coming in, my shower is THIS Saturday (good gravy!), I've had my hair/makeup trial, 1st fitting is next Saturday. Little stuff to do: Decorate FG basket Decorate and fill bathroom basket Finish favor scrolls Final meetings w/ vendors (over next 3 -4 weeks) Dance lessons hehe Hotel goodie boxes Seating charts 'n place cards will be done end September... Not overwhelmed, not losin' it...just going to finally start relying on my 5 sisters and mom for help! Sorry you asked?! LOL :)

We have the same wedding date and the same date to finalize our menu. I have so much to do and the next 7 weekends are already booked up!! With 1 1/2 years of planning I hope it all works outs and everyone enjoys themselves and I'm praying for a sunny warm weekend being our ceremony is outside. I think my hair is going to be gray by the time October 7th rolls around!!

Will be out on LI every weekend for the rest of the month going over final details (live in NJ!) I have 3 weddings in Sept, so I have to have everything done by labor day. I can't believe how fast my 14 month engagement went and I agree, none of it feel's real! For the first time, I'm not worrying about any of it, though. Just bought a house a couple of weeks ago and closing is Sept 13th! All of my stress has definitely shifted from the wedding to that! AAAGGGGHHHH

I know how you all feel Octber 6th also !

I am getting married Oct 6th at Flowerfield-- and my whole bridal parrty and most of our guests are from out of town ! What a pain to organize! I feel like I will never be done in time! I cant wait for the day to come! Good luck to all !

SC .. Well I am glad to hear we are all going through the same thing :) Good luck with the house. We just closed on ours 6 weeks ago and are just finally starting to get settled .. so between all the last minute planning, I now have unpacking, cleaning and furniture arranging to do. I can honestly say that I am looking SO forward to the honeymoon to just relax and do nothing :) Good luck I am sure things will all work out :)
