ok completely freaking out right now.. just found out my church booked a wedding right before me. Her mass is at 130 and mine begins at 3. However, my limo w/ my guys, photographer, florist, etc are all showing up at the church 230..I am getting nervous. Because I have a feeling she will be in the front taking pictures as my people show up... im so nervous right now that this is going to delay me and throw off my timing for everything..
am i over reacting? I just dont want my guest walking up to the church while her wedding is still going on or shes comming out of the church...

Re: October 23rd....
You call your church and have a little chat with them.
Find out what THEIR timeline is. If her wedding starts at 1:30 do they KNOW they have to be out of there by 2:30 so YOUR florist can set up, and YOUR music, and YOUR guests can come.
I would be very specific about what you should expect that day from the church, and what the other couple is told about clearing out.
I dont want to freak you out, but If I was the other bride I would be like 'Im gonna take all the damn time I want and screw the other bride. This is my day, my time and *I* paid for this church. I will leave when im damn well good and ready too.
So talk to the church/pastor whoever you need to to make sure YOUR timeline is in place.
That friggin S ucks and im so sorry.

Re: October 23rd....
I spoke with my the person who does the rehearsal and he said he will speak to the couple to remind them. I also put a call into my priest and spoke with him this morning and i told him how upset i was, yadda yadda. and he said he is also marrying them so he will push their wedding a long. He sad they are also having a ceremony and I am not to worry everything will be perfect ..
umm yeah thats what he says now until the day of and my evil fangs come out.. I swear if my limos pull up and they are outside taking pictures infront of the church .. first i feel so bad because i kinda ruined her moment and second I am going to be P$%^(*!!!!
lol I swear if its not one thing its another .. yikessss i cant wait to get a full night sleep again!!! I am stressing over here

I honestly don't blame you for being mad or freaking out. That's cutting it awfully close. People always run late and it doesn't leave much time for you to get your pictures and have the florist set up. But on a positive note, it's your wedding day and if the worst that happens is the wedding before yours runs a little late then I say it don't sweat it. You will still have an amazing day

I totally agree. You need to speak to the church. So sorry that they sprung this on you!

I wouldnt worry about it. My church was a factory the day of mine.....Communions in the morning, a wedding and a funeral all before mine.

What is it with the church?? I found out that there is a baptism right before my wedding and I was told.... get ready.. quote' your florist could come in while the batipsm is in process and when your bridal party arrives before the baptism is over, they can seat on the last pews'...... WHAT??

Re: October 23rd....
The same thing happened to me! I am getting married on October 24th and when I booked the church back in November nobody else was booked and the times were 11AM and 2:30PM. I booked the church for 2:30. When my fiance and i went to Pre-Cana, we met with our priest prior and he informed us that there is a mass at 1pm that afternoon (clearly someone made a mistake). I am not a confrontational person but I was upset so our priest said that if the other wedding starts any later than 1:15 they are automatically downgraded to a ceremony. I totally feel for you and I know that everything will work out.

Re: October 23rd....
if they are having just a ceremony there isnt much to worry about. I think a ceremony is like 35 mins max. If it was a mass then I would def freak out.

Re: October 23rd....
StefandKen had another wedding start to arrive right as we were outside in the front taking pics. I'm pretty sure they weren't happy cuz stefandken were holding up everyone from leaving/entering the parking lot cuz they were taking pics w/the rolls.
They also had a full mass though. If the wedding before you is only having a ceremony it should be fine.

Re: October 23rd....
exactly that is what i do not want to happen. That is why I want to confirm what type the couple before me is having. Because if it is a ceremony that I will be a little more relaxed.
