I don't see any problem with it. It could be kind of fun -- you could even go with a masquerade ball them.

I think it's ok. My brother did it although he didn't have the halloween theme. Keep in mind that people with children will probably not come...depends on how close you are with them.

Friends of ours are getting married on Oct. 31, 2009. They are going to do a masquerade party. But you don't need to do something Halloweenie. If you love your hall and the season you're having it in, thats all that matters.

my parents went to one on halloween (at my hall actually!) and she had incorporated halloween theme into it but a 'classy' halloween look. She had incredible carved pumpkins and fallish stuff. she didn't do masks or ghosts or anything like that.

my parents said it was very cool and different.

Thanks again girls.... I just want my wedding to be as classy and elegant as possible but only have this day to work with at the hall I love.

you can definitely do it classy and still incorporate some fall stuff. Have someone do amazing carved jack o lanterns, have lots of candles, incorporate fall decorations.... you don't have to make it cheesy! I think that would be incredibly cool!

I love the idea of a Halloween wedding! You could incorporate it into the reception if you want.

We're getting married 10/31/09! Not getting too Halloweenie at all. Got pretty fall colors, pumpkin centerpieces (as the vases) - probably will use something with a pumpkin for the place card table - that's about it. Maybe a Thriller and Monster Mash song, but nothing over the top!
