october brides!!!!!!!

I'm ordering my invites this weekend.....talk about waiting till the last minute


I'm getting my veil next weekend.
oh yeah we still have to get BP presents and we have to decide on a place for the RD.

How's this for stress? I'm still waiting for my dress to come in.
Just called the churches for updated baptismal certificates. Next week, should finish the tuxes, RD cite, order wedding rings.
If the dress was in, things would be good.
Invites are ready to be sealed and stamped and hoping for speedy replys.
We have quite a few Westbury Manor Oct Brides!!

I sent my invites last Saturday and I already got about 20 RSVPs so far - only 3 no's! I need more no's!!

Had my tasting last weekend, my first dress fitting was yesterday....

Just starting to freak out bc I am so busy at work right now. I want to meet with the priest so we can do the programs. We have left 5 messages for him in the last 2 weeks and he will not get back to us!!!

Also stressing out about running out of money! We just decided to add a bus to take ppl from the hotels to the reception and it's almost $1k. UGH!!!!! I want to win lotto!!!!

Oh yeah - forgot to mention that we never received our inter-island plane tickets for the HM, and they wont re-issue them I have to fill out a lost claim form!!!

I'm not ordering them until next weekend! I still have to do limos, tuxes, favors, BP gifts, etc

totally stressed here! yup! all the details are so so so stressing me out.

We were doing the house hunt thing, the contract thing, the get the mortgage, inspection and closing thing, and now I'm trying to get back on track w/ the wedding.

Up next is:
tuxes
wedding bands
favors
calligraphy
stuff invitations
1st dress fitting (will get my undergarments and possibly veil during the fitting).
BP gifts (really just want to look around the stores).

LOL..too much !

A couple of things are in the works right now, but so much still to do!

Just done . . .
- bought wedding bands
- picked veil, shoes, undergarments
- my dress came in ! ) -- still gotta schedule fittings
- bought leaves for throwing/scattering on tables


Still to do . . .
- print directional cards and stuff and send invitations (next week!)
- tuxes
- meet w/florist for sample CPs
- meet w/hall to set menu
- order favors
- pick first song
- take dance lessons
- pick readings (aks people to do readings)
- make menus, programs, leaf cones, welcome packets
- buy gifts for attendants, parents, etc


And we are going to spend the next week or so visiting FILs!!!

We're ordering our invitations just this weekend. Our to-do list is *huge*!!! Never try to plan a wedding in six months!!

My goodenss...it is coming quick! I'm a little behind. I have to finalize my guest list this week and send it out to the calligrapher...then stuff away. I got my shoes! Gorgeus! I am waiting for the call about my dress.

We mailed out the invites Monday, July 25th. Thank God that's out of the way. We asked for replies by September 7th.

I was wondering when any of you are going for your first fittings? My dress is in but they told me not to make an appointment until August. Is late August too late? Or should I go sooner?

Just in this past week:
1/ Picked wedding bands
2/ FH went for tux fitting
3/ Printed church direction cards
4/ Stuffed Invitations
5/ Got proof for CD favor
6/ Should have my veil from SewDeb tomorrow
7/ Made appt. to set menu
8/ Visited potential RD location


I need to:
1/ Find seamstress since the one I had in mind is out of the country
2/ Work on song & photo lists
3/ Call in engraving for FH wedding band
4/ Touch base with LA Blossoms
5/ Figure out how to make my shoes fit since they're too big in the heels
6/ Meet with the priest

And the list goes on and on and on...

God its been months since I've posted! Can't believe October is just 'round the corner.

Here's my to -do list before I go to Italy.

Need dress, tuxes, organist, flower girls dresses, shoes, veil, tiara and the like, rings,programs and favors. Sent invites 2 weeks ago with the rsvp aug 19 though i'll be in Italy. oh and got an apt in manhattan! NO commuting to work for me! YAY!!!

Fellow October brides--BREATHE IN DEEP AND SMILE!!! Everything will be beautiful!

My first fitting was yesterday. My next one is in mid-August. There will be a few more after that in September and then right before the wedding for any last minute adjustments.
