Re: October Brides
I am probably in the minority here, but NO! I am excited and I just want it to be here already. Of course I still have a whole list of stuff to do but I am pretty calm still, I hope it lasts!!!!

Re: October Brides
Im not completely stressed because most of the stuff that really needs to get done already is. But i do feel a certain anxiety about this big day that seemed so far away just a few months ago and we have been planning/saving/etc.. for years now is going to be happening really soon. Also - there are so many things that can go wrong that are completely out of my control.

Re: October Brides
I made up a new to-do list yesterday and I was actually excited to see I only had 30 items left to do. Im sure Ive left some key things out but still smaller than the 5 page one I had a few months ago.Right now - Im trying to finish up my programs and my rehearsal dinner invitations, get together my FH's gift, finish my BMs gifts, buy undergarments for my gown.
I have another fitting and hair trial on Sept 7.
I got my marriage license this week.

Re: October Brides
I can't believe it is so close. I am a little nervous too when I think of the big day. I still need to buy the BM's gifts, make church programs. My FH and I are getting our marriege license on Monday. Only 50 days to go.

Re: October Brides
stacez..I am with you. I am not stressed at all. I just want it to get here already. I am pretty surprrised how calm I am. MY FI on the other hand is a stress ball.As for as what I am working on...I mailed almost all my invites this week. I had my first fitting Tuesday. FI is looking into shuttle buses. Next is favors and bridal party gifts and going for my hair trial run. We are moving Labor Day weekend (1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom..yeah more space) so that will really be our next priority. I have been scheduling appointments for the whole month of September.. the hall, 2nd fitting, florist, etc.
What are you guys up to?

Re: October Brides
I still need to do:1. Programs and meet with Priest to discuss readings
2. Wrap favors (which are on backorder so I have a backup plan and ordered something else - can't wrap until I know if the backordered ones will come in!)
3. Pick up Gift Certificates for BM's for nails and toes (plus got them earrings)
4. seating arrangements and place cards
5. Pay the remaining balances on everything!
6. Book rehearsal dinner
7. Final fitting
what else? I know I'm forgetting something...
Not too nervous yet...although I noticed I'm a bit more 'tense' than usual!!

Re: October Brides
I Confess...I AM REAALY STRESSED.Part of my stress is that my FI and I bought a house on top of all this. So he has been working on the house (tearing it apart and rebuilding) and I have been planning the wedding. So I am starting to feel like I am doing this all on my own. I have been really calm until a few days ago when I realized I have one month and 2 weeks. Exactly six weeks from today.....I just want it to get here already

Re: October Brides
Can you believe we're now able to get our marriage licenses?!?! It's unreal how fast time if flying by.We're actually in good shape. We just have to meet with the rest of our vendors and finalize all details, then focus on the little, more fun details

Re: October Brides
We booked our rehearsal dinner already, we have to do the placecards but we are still receiving our response cards, 62 people are coming so far. We hope to have 150. I get soo excited every time I open the response cards. I have my hair trial and make scheduled for this Saturday. I hope it comes out nice. I have my second fitting scheduled for Sept. 7. There are so many things to do but we are trying to check them off as we go along.

Re: October Brides
Thank god I am not the only one! Maybe I will be a little more nervous after my shower since that will be a little rehearsal to what it should be like with all eyes on me!
Left to do for me is...
1) Get marriage license
2) Speak to Reverand about readings and ceremony
3) Finish BM/GM gifts
4) Finish favors and decorations
5) Do place cards
6) Meet with Burton's (tomorrow)
7) Talk to reception place again for little details
8) Fittings (1st is Sept. 5th)
9) Make RD invites
10) P/U FH ring
11) Have makeup trial
12) Make hotel bags
13) Lose more weight
I am sure there is stuff I am missing though...

Re: October Brides
Stef - only to starve myself and drink nothing but liquids for the next 6 weeks - I am frightened to even go for my first fitting, and I've already lost a lot of weight!!

Re: October Brides
If I haven't had the willpower to get my a$$ in gear for the last 2 years - I think its safe to say that I don't have the willpower to starve myself now as the stress builds.Teri - don't be worried about the dress. I was worried too and my dress was at least a size too big and it wasnt ordered large on purpose.

Re: October Brides
I am glad to know I am not the only one left with lots of stuff to do! 50 days left and I still feel like it will never all be done in time. Everyone keeps telling me to relax!!P.S. - The reoccuring dream that I'm going to trip while walking down the aisle and land on my face doesn't help!! LOL
