Im curious why you all are sending them out so early?

I was told by the reception hall that invites are generally sent 8-9 week before the wedding.

Was I given wrong information???

I want them in people's homes at least a month before the rsvp date...so I'm sending them a few weeks before that month mark to make sure everyone gets them with plenty of time! You never know with the post office anymore!

Gotcha! That makes sense!!!

Ours are coming in at any day now.

We are HOPING they get in the mail next Friday (Aug 7).

Our RSVP date is Sept 1.


I feel very behind on this!!

OMG- I can't believe its already time!!

I am addressing mine, and they should be ready within a week... then the stalking begins!! :)

Ours went out on Saturday!! I am so excited to start getting RSVPs!
Is anyone else super relieved that invites are DONE?!

we having a weekend away wedding
my RSVP date is this Saturday....
I got maybe 50% grrrrrrrrrr.... vent over....

I just received my invites in the mail today...
There was a minor mishap on the response envelopes, so i should have the correct ones in hand by Wed/Thur...
Hoping to have them out by Friday or Sat...
My RSVP date is for Sept 12th, so i figured 5/6 weeks prior to the RSVP is good enough!

I was told you should send them out 2 months prior to your RSVP date and your RSVP date should be one month prior so that I why I am sending mine out Wed.

Just sent ours out today!

Hopefully Ill have mine out by Monday!

I had a couple of uh ho's with my invites! When they first arrived last Monday, they printed 100 WRONG invites (on the wrong paper) so they had to reprint so I didnt get them till Friday. Now I have 100 wrong and 100 right ones!

Then FH and I were stuffing them Sunday night and realized that 15 addresses on the outer envelopes were upside down Sooooo.....I didnt want to send those out! We should have new ones by Thursday or Friday. Plus, we didnt have enough hotel directional cards so I had to call for more and im hoping i get them ASAP too!

UGH!!! This process is taking so long! I still have to get them weighed at the post office

What is hand canceled??? Anyone? Sorry for the stupid question and for this responce being soooo long and boring!

I did. I sent mine 2 weeks ago and Yes and I'm stalking the mailman...rsvps are coming in every day i get 2 or 3 but I hate it when there's none in the mail.

LOL Me too! I sent mine about 3 weeks ago and I hate the days when I don't get any, like today

Ours will be in the mail by Tuesday.

I think hand canceled is a way of tell you the post office that the item is fragile and needs to be hand handled (does that make sense?) BUT my mom worked in the post office adn said that even when you write that they still go through a machine.
