October Brides!!

to my fellow October brides; where are you all going on your honeymoons?! my FH and I really want to go to St. Lucia, but we are worried about hurricane season....
Where are you ladies going? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I'm a teacher so we aren't going away until either winter break or Easter break. But we're thinkig Hawaii, St. Lucia or Costa Rica. Sorry not much help. But yay October brides!!!!

we're taking a mini-moon to san francisco and napa immediately after, then taking the real honeymoon right after christmas to dubai and maldives.

We're aiming for Japan and I'm hoping for a few days in Hawaii as well. FH is against that saying there isn't enough time but we have about 18? days for the honeymoon-14 if you account for entering the Twilight Zone that steals two days of our lives for crossing the hemisphere and a couple days for flight recovery.

**We went to Barbados in '07 from Oct. 8th-12th. I remember somewhere to the east of us was experiencing a hurricane. My hair was never fully dry throughout the entire trip. The sky was mostly overcast, a few drizzlies but warm still so the outfits we packed were appropriate. We did bring an umbrella with us which came in handy one night, sorta...we got soaked. But we did see blue skies when we were out at sea on a catamaran cruise during which we actually got burnt. That hurt for a while. It was one of our favorite trips.

To give a sense of the weather ^^

I'm not getting married in October, but I am in November...we are waiting until Feb break (We are teachers) to take our honeymoon.

Aruba!! But St Lucia is where we wanted to go first.... Just get vacation insurance!! If the weathers bad you can postpone it for a week!

FYI - We wanted to go away in Dec, but the prices were double what they are in Feb, so we opted for the same vaca but half the price.

yep! we noticed that with prices too. also the april break we get a week and a half off and the february break is only a week so if you don't mind waiting til april, you'll get more time! :) I'm still trying to convince FH to wait til april. I think it'll be worth it!

Yeah that's true about April - I'm not sure I could be so patient!! Where are you looking to go??
