October Brides!

Just wanted to see who else are October brides.. how youre doing (as far as planning) and to wish everyone luck!

I am having a 'stuffing party' tonight with my BM's so we will stuff the envelopes so I can send them out by Friday I hope all your planning is going well

I sent out all the US invitations yesterday morning YAY! FH family is from the UK & those are going out tomorrow! Thank god that's finally done. Now lets hope I get some no's since my room only holds 150 and we invited 172

Mailed the out of state and people I wasn't to sure if they would come 2 weeks ago and only got 3 'no's' so far ( I need 20 to say no). The rest are going out hopefully by the 6th. We hope to book our RD place next week...think we are going with Piccolo's in Bellmore. We still have not set up our engagement shoot!!

I am mailoing out my invites on saturday.

I have to finish my RD invites tonight, and the menus for the RD.

Next week I am going to add the rosettes to the FG's dress, and on the 16th I have my first fitting.

I am getting VERY nervous, I ordered my dress last September and still no sighn of it I called the Bridal salon and they said maybe not until the end og August

I mailed my invites july 15, 2003 got responses already. most of them yes. I am in the same boat, need some nos b/c we invited 175 and the hall only fits 152. awawaw
We still need to book our honeymoon. we meet with the travelagent sunday morning to gover things. it looks like hawaii.
My beadwork is not in from overseas yet. My mom is making my dress.
I still need the flowergirl dress which I can get in two weeks in the city.
Still need limos and wedding night room.
And tuxes.

Your dress will probably be in soon. Don't worry too much, all of my married friends said not to go for the alterations until one month before the wedding because you will most likely loose a couple of pounds as the nerves kick in. If it makes you feel any better I am having a very short engagement so my dress is supposed to come in mid Sept. and my wedding is mid Oct.

Phew!!!!!!So I am not the only one going a little crazy!!! LOL... I am still having a shoe disaster.. (just ordered the third pair).. hopefully these will fit.. cant go for first fitting w/o them!! Having a stuffing party this weekend, invitations just came in this week! Need to set make up and hair trial appts up. Need tuxes... and oh yeah LIMOS!!!!!! Have the RD plans straight, and giving the invitations to my girls at the stuffing party!

Dont worry Nikki, your dress will come in soon.. I would keep calling them though!!!

Good Luck girls!! Thanks for the reassurance that I am not the only one losing my mind!!!

Nikki~ you have plenty of time if it comes in the end of this month!!!! Don't worry.

My dress is in but not my veil. I'm not going for a fitting until Sept. Still need to lose weight!!!!!! ACKKKKKK!!

Forgot to say I had my shower last Saturday! I am so glad it is out of the way!! Now I have all those 'thank yous' to do! I started them and then put it off. Going today to the corsiterre to help my MOH and stepmom get a bra and probably me too. MOH goes for her fitting on the 13th because we need her extra fabric for the flower ribbon.

I won gold organza bags on ebay for the rose petals at the church. I was going to do the petal cones but got too lazy and i feel like i always have some little project i have to do and no time for myself anymore. I can't wait till the honeymoon !!! Everything is going by so fast now!!

Where is everyone's RD?? I really wanted something closer to farmingdale but can't find anything in our price range ($20~25) and good italian food! So I am pretty sure we are going with Piccolos in Bellmore but I keep hesitating thinking I am missing someplace better! Help!

I'm October 12th too ... we've had a short engagement as well (and got a late start on a few things) so I'll bet I'm a bit further behind most of you.

My dress isn't supposed to be in until mid september either. I ordered a veil & heapiece on ebay - should be in next week. (I don't have shoes or undergarments)

I'm only having my sister as my MOH - no dress yet - she's touring europe for 5 weeks, we'll get something off the rack when she gets back.

My invites should be in next week (I hope) - I'm sure I'm violating some rule of etiquette by only giving guests a few weeks to respond - oh well, it's my wedding :)

I don't have an officiant yet - I need a justice of the peace if anyone knows someone???

Aaaaaack ... this is making me panic! I'm sure there are a million things I still have to do - thank goodness for this board - I can see what everyone else is up to & copy :)

emac--don't worry! i am planning my oct. 12th wedding from 6 hours away so i am behind as well! you are fine with the invitations! proper etiquette says to send them out 6-8 weeks before your date. So the weekend of August 16th is fine! Sending them out early is nice but not mandatory!

My gown is also not coming in until sept....i just figure i have more time to diet! and don't worry...i don't even have a florist yet

My wedding is the 4th. So much to do and I'm really running out of time. Once you get close to the 2month marker everything seems to just go wild. Everyone needs to meet with you, $$ is due, I still don't know what I'm doing with my flowers, I'm just going nuts! People are getting our invitations so we should be getting reponses back next week. I sure hope some people do say no because we are way over the # the room holds

I think everyone is in the same boat. It's awesome that we have somewhere to vent because we understand each others dilemas

Maybe we can do a GTG? If we have time that is :)

Nikki - your dress will come in - don't worry. Just keep nagging them. I just sent out my invites this morning - what a relief. Just my Fh and I did them - less hassle.

word of advice - number your response cards like in a litlle corner because some people will forget to write their names and you won'y know who they're from....
