October Brides Check-in

how is everyone's planning going?

I feel like I have a million things left to do!

to list:
limos
flowers
dj
videographer
order invites

there are probably a ton of other things i am leaving off- but what about you guys, what do you have left to do?

I still have to book hotels
go for tuxes
mob dress
undergarments
bm's gifts
last part of gm's gifts
memory candles
money holder
stefana and candles for greek ceremony
hummm i am sure i am forgetting stuff

I am talking to officiants now, hope to have one set by the end of March / early April.

I plan on looking at invites in April and ordering by the end of the month, I want them by June 1 so I can get them out between July 15 and August 1.

I also am registering online this week and next, hope to go to the stores next weekend and make sure I like what I picked!

Other than those big things ... I need to:

-Buy tealights for my centerpieces
-Buy pillar candles for my centerpieces
-Get my mom to shop for her MOB dress
-Pick and order a BM dress (only have a MOH)
-Make my menus (in September)
-Buy a shower dress
-Buy my veil
-Buy a bra or figure out what I am doing there! (cups, etc)
-Talk to FMIL about her dress
-Decide on a tux style (FH owns a basic tux, so I just have to get him to agree to wear a vest and pick a color .. )
-Buy BM and best man gifts
-Buy parent gifts
-Buy FM's gift (cufflinks with our dog's face on them, maybe something else)

And more, I am sure ... but I thnk they are little things!

I think it's a little early, but not terribly. You figure two months for them to have the invite before the rsvp date, and one month to the wedding after that. I have a FEW people that FMIL wants me to invite that she is 'positive' will say no ... and I hope to get some no's from others early so that I can mail these 'b' list people out around August 1. It will make me feel better knowing that if they say yes, there is room - and they will not think that they were b list. What I may actually do is send my family's out first, and then FH's - so that FILs can't say, oh, you didn't mail out uncle charlie's yet, huh? :) When I get some no's from my family, I will feel better about mailing out FH's family's including these people who are 'definitely not coming, but we need to send an invite.'

So far I have:

I still have to met with:

Makeup

luckilly we are getting all of these things knocked out next weekend on our trip.

Gifts for BP
Tuxes
and then all the little details...runners, memory candles, programs, cake toppers....etc.


Does anyone have a master list of some kind that you can check off as you go?

Hey we are having a DJ, we are doing a one man calypso band for the cocktail hour and then the DJ with the percussionist for the reception. Did you decide yet?

would love to have a band but i think a dj is better suited- we did get katharine saxton for the cocktail hour- she's a harpist that does heavy metal on the harp- fh is so excited

Thank you. It's my first meeting with Pedestals, but I know how beautiful their work is, so I'm sure I will book them.
