Ok.. first off.. OMG where the HELL did my year go? We have what 9months at best now. NINE!!!
Ive ordered my centerpieces I hope to order my BM by the end of this month or mid next month I hope to order my favors by the end of this month. I think im TOTALLY nixing the idea of STDs. But I found a site with average everyday ones for $36 for 50 seems so cheap but.... I dunno. STILL need to set up a time for our engagement photos. I kept putting it off Shoes? uhm oh yeah them, havent even started. Same goes for the undergarments. Hope to order my invitations by the end of this month or next month.
OMG where's the money coming for this stuff?
Hey Jannshari - if you read this.. On an un-snowy weekend, I'd love if you'd help me come take photos of me in my dress so I can FINALLY post my makeup/hair trial photos.
Ok.. I can't be the only one freaking out.. anyone??

Eveytiem I coem on here I freak out, b/c msot peopel are so far ahaead of me.
We just booked the hall & church in December, so far all I've done is find my dress. I haven't even ordered it b/c I ned shoes first. Oh, those I ordered. they should be here Monday.
I'm skipping STDs. I'm having a small enough weddign most people knwo the date by word of mouth already.
I know you have probably have a lot of OOT guests, so I can see how you might want to, but usually I think its only necessary for long term engagements.

Can I ask a stupid question: Why are you waiting for shoes? I am short but I just ordered the dress and will alter it after it comes in. (which it's in and I still don't have shoes)

But to answer your question.....YES I'm beginnig to freak out! I feel the same way. We had about 14 months and I thought I had all the time in the world, and everyone kept telling me 'you have plenty of time for this and too much time for that'.....hello 269 days people!!
In a nutshell I still have to do: STD's DJ Florist Limos Invitations headpiece/veil shoes jewelry undergarments tuxes BM/GM/reader/parent gifts RD Honeymoon wedding bands and about 1,000 other little things.
Does that make you feel better....it will all get done, let's remember to have fun!!

There is still so much more to do. I will get it done though. I am not worried. Stay calm. I promise you all, it will get done.

sure,its not a stupid question, everyone asks that--My dress is being made to length, so it doesn't have to be altered later so the pattern of embrodery isn't messed up. There is a pic in my profile, but its hard to see the detail.
I couldn't find wide width shoes in a store so I orderd them online from bridalshoes.com, and they shoudl be here monday, and hopefully I 'll like them & I can then make an appointment to be measured & order the dress.
Other alterations will be made later , hopefully taking it in , and making the skirt less poufy & doing the bustle.

okay..so i'm not the only one beginning to freak out!! I kept putting things off til after the holidays, and now its february and time is just going by way too quickly!!
You have so much done already, you will be fine! If you go onto the knot website and print up the checklist of things that you have to do, i think it will help!

I am freaking... But I am trying to get some things done. On the 18th i am going to my bridal store to look at tiaras and veils I have been scoping out favors and i think i have finally decided..now i just have to go order. Not doing the STD... We start Precana on the 15th

Ronie, of course I'll help you out. This weekend is completely out. I'm in Continuing Legal Education classes all day Sat. and Sun. Next Sunday would work, I think, but the weekend after that I have to go pick up MY dress! Yowzah!

What hotels are you looking at? I know there are a few right by the WCC, but they are small and, from what I've heard, expensive.

I blocked rooms at the Huntington Hilton and the Smithtown Sheraton today. The reason for the Sheraton is that my parents are in Commack and my relatives like to stay there when they come in since it is close to my parents. The Sheraton is $119.00/night and the Hilton is $129.00/night.
I am also going to call the Best Western that is near the WCC and see what they have. I would like to get a cheaper place so people have more options.

After reading how far along some of you are I need to get going!! The only things I have done are: Church Reception Dress Veil Headpiece Video
I don't have: Photo (had, didn't have, had again and now looking --LONG, LONG story!!) Have NO IDEA what to do about this! Florist- looking into this now Band- I got so tired of going to showcases, I decided to take a break! Limos Bridesmaid dresses- although I think I know which ones I like Invitations the list goes on and on and on... It's amazing how time goes by so quickly, I got engaged in Aug and cannot believe the wedding is only about 9 months away!!! Good luck to al lthe October brides!!!

I think the woodbury country club is kinda near the milleridge.
I made a list the other day, but havn't called any yet. I don't know what any of these are like, or how much they cost or if they even reserve blocks, but here's what I've found:

i've been in quite a lull lately, but we are working on flowers right now. hopefully we will make a decision in the next week or so. then i am ordering my BM dresses. we also have to work on limos, invitations, favors, shoes, undergarments, headpiece and veil.
so far i have church hall video photo dress DJ sent out STD's Website confirmed precana Blocked rooms reserved bridal suite
i really just want it to get here...i can't wait!

I am soooo behind and I am BEFORE most of you. My dress dilemma has really been holding me back from getting stuff done. And now, with the 8 month mark just a couple of days away, I am seriously starting to freak!! Luckily, I have a few days off coming up and I plan to jam pack them with stuff to cross off the list.
So far I only have:
Church Reception DJ Photographer Videographer Table Cameras Rooms blocked off for OOT guests Guestlist approx 50% done (I need to collect addresses badly)
On deck are: -HM (already got price quotes,just trying to decide) - finishing the guestlist, asking one more person to be in the BP - selecting and ordering my gown (hopefully will happen this weekend) - SERIOUSLY considering nixing the STDs but I did already receive the magnets -- I just have to MAKE the cards.... -Selecting and ordering the BM gowns by the end of this month
