Original post by sandj100304

Today is 7 months until my wedding. I feel like there is still so much more to do. How are you girls doing?

You've still got time to do what you need to do, if any,..in the gym? No need to panic yet.

not too much to update here either...i am waiting for a copy of my proof. i wasn't comfortable with the fax because it was a smaller size. i want to make sure the print isn't too small.

i am working on the limos
and finding a house to live in

the later is the most stressful thing that we have done and have to do. wedding stuff is cake walk compared to buying a house.

i also need to get shoes and undergarments...hopefully soon....

last week of July is my goal. 10 weeks before hand. I am going to order this week. Not sure how long they take to come in, but my pessimistic nature is making me order them with enough tiem for them to be done twice, in case there is a mistake.

KelOct04, I am Oct 1 too and we going to Hawaii too. We will most likely be there at the same time, Oahu, Kauia & Maui (14 days, 13 nights) leaving on Oct 5.

I am still waiting for one of my BM's to order her dress so the store can submit the order. I am concentrating on my veil, headpiece and undergarments next! I'm a long way from invitations, but want to send them out at the start of August....

I was going to send mine out the forst week of August (about 8 weeks before). I thought that was customary. Is there a reason you are sending them 10 weeks before? Should I be doing that?

That is great! We are going to Kauai first for 5 days and them Maui for 6 days.
We are leaving Oct 3 and coming home Oct 14. Where are you staying?
We are staying at the Sheraton in Kauai and The Ritz in Maui.

PS while in Maui.. definitely go into Lahaina for dinner

Kelly, what exercises are you doing for your arms? I'm wearing a strapless too, and I don't want my 'batwings' flapping around!

Re: October brides, how is it going?

I know what you mean!!
Every night I do 2 set of 25 of each exercise...
I use 5 pound weights which sounds light but they get heavy really quickly!!

I do basic bicep curls, then tricep kickbacks, then i start with my arm in L shape and pull the weight up to my bicep and then the last i hold weights at my sides (up near my head) and the push up and together. It is so hard to explain but I do these everynight and I have noticed a difference in about 2 weeks already. I have been walking 2-3 nights a week at the bethpage hs track too.
We will be buff by the time our weddings come

Thanks, I'm going to try those. I have 5 lb. weights, too. It's amazing how heavy they seem!

Re: October brides, how is it going?

Be careful doing arm exercises day after day. Muscles breakdown when you lift, and need time to build up and get toned and hard. If you don't give them that time, you will hurt yourself. Try them every OTHER day.

Your 'batwings', unfortunately, are hereditary most likely. Try increasing the intensity of your walking (hills, walking further or faster, or a little of both.) The body adjusts to routines quickly. Plus you won't get bored of the same old stuff.

Thanks LIGroom.. any other suggestions??

I do them 4 nights a week and then I go to the track and run one/walk one lap (about 1 1/2 miles) 2-3 nights a week.
My fh runs 5 and 10k races on the weekends, I don't run like that.
But I am really trying to keep myself in shape.. it's hard when working full time, grad school full time, wedding planning ...
