I am going to do my menu tonight. Any good advice? Last night I had my first freak attack, I kept thinking about what has to be done things that I am afraid I will forget about. I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest

We did the menu on Monday - still undecided ona vegetarian choice, which is what I will be eating. Picked a cake - of course I upgraded. I just have to frmae the BM gifts, I x-stitched roses and thier names and will put in in a jewelery box, as the cover. and I finished putting the table cameras in the bags with the notes attached. I am waiting to do my seating cards when I get all the responses back. Still so much to do!!!!

ok, so i think the only projects i still have to work on are finishing the menus & programs. when the responses are all in i'll do the seating.

i have the rest of my appointments next weekend & then i'm finally done!

We are meeting with the hall tomorrow to choose the menu and get the floor plan. I started putting my tables together but still have sooo much to do. I have my next dress fitting on 9/17...hopefully they fix what was wrong this time

Hello Oct Brides,

I am new to this site and I wanted to stress with everyone else. My wedding is Oct 9th (Thursday night).. I am stressed because I heard bad things about my photographer and I may have to find another one and I have a month left!!!! I am using Lavender Bridal and I just heard through the grapevine that they arent reputable and I should find someone else. Does anyone know anything positive or negative about them? I would LOVE the feedback.. Thanks!!!

2003OCT10-
i'm doing it all. FH has very little to do with any of the details. he wouldn't know the first thing about planning a wedding, so its up to me (& i kind of prefer it this way!).

i'm not stressed though. i'm too busy with work to think about the wedding. besides, everything is pretty much done. response cards are rolling in. unfortunately, most people are saying yes!

just have to finish my programs & do the seating.

its me again, sorry, i didn't read the entire post before posting myself!

chetta- i've never heard of lavender bridal, but don't worry, you're getting so close now. just make sure you are following up with everyone about the details. i'm sure it will be fine.

Spel-Did you get the whip cream or buttercream for your cake? I got the whip but they said they can't decorate the whip!! I guess it doesn't really matter if I am having flowers on it.

Are you having a hard time with the tables? NRC has such a weird layout. It has cause many problems between the families for me.

Things are coming along...I just finished the placecards for the RD and we sent out the RD invites today. Wednesday I go for my first fitting ( I know I'm a little late!) and Friday FH is playing hookie ( I hope) so we can go to the DJ, Travel Agent and to Brooklyn to order the sign in platter.

I keep thinking I am forgetting something and it is driving me crazy!!

I'm with you on the eloping!!! We are planning from DC, so this past weekend we were in NY to get our license, I had my first dress fitting- which was good, but I guess I have lost some weight from when I bought it off the rack a year ago- so now I better stay the same since I'm practically going to be sewn into the thing! I too am doing the bulk of the detail handling, FH helps when I ask, but it isn't his forte. My mom had been a godsend. Our reply day is today and there are still so many missing!!!!

i did not get my cake from NRC. we ordered one from a baker. but, i think whipped cream tastes the best.

Re: October Brides... II

i haven't done tables yet. my response date isn't until saturday & we'll have to call a lot of people- we're still missing 50 response cards.

i guess we'll work on the tables in october.
