October Brides: Invitation Question!

Are you having your envelopes computer addressed or sending to calligrapher?

How long does the calligrapher need to do all envelopes?

When are you sending out your invitations (# weeks/months before)?

I just got mine back from the laser calligraphy. It looks so good. I am very happy with them. It took her less than a week. I'm hoping to send them out by next week. But I'm still waiting for FH to decide which work people he wants to invite and get their addresses.

My mother is addressing my envelopes in calligraphy.

We are planning to mail them in about a week or so. Our RSVP date is 9/1, so we want to give people about a month to respond.

I printed mine on the computer. They came out beautiful. They matched the invitaion printing perfectly!

We are having someone do laser calligraphy on our invitations. We are picking them up on Saturday...and we will be sending them out the first week of August (not sure exactly which day yet).

I actually did it myself - found a matching font and then ran it through my printer. It was easy and I even addressed the inner envelopes that way.

I addressed the invitations myself with a printer program I bought and matched the font perfectly. I will be sending them out sometime during the first week in August.

My FSIL/BM is doing them. She has incredible hand writing and turns out she does caligraphy too! whoo hoo!
We will probably send ours out some time in the end of August.

I had an amazing experience with MaryEllin from Calligraphics (vender on this site). I sent her the envelopes since I am in Lubbock, Texas this month. I then emailed her my list (inviting 313 people). She received my envelopes on Wednesday and last night I got an email that the envelopes (inside and outside) are done and they are going back into the mail today so I should get them in a day or two. She does both hand and computer calligraphy, but I chose computer - she had the EXACT font as my invitaitons.

I am going to try to send them out by the end of the week from here....

I am having my invites done by hand. Her name is Joann Insinga from Fine Calligraphy. She is in Wantagh. FM if you want her phone number and pricing info. She takes 1-2 weeks to complete. I am sending the first week of August.

My FH and I bought a laser printer and did the envelopes ourselves. People were actually raving about them! I maile dout my first set last monday with a RSVP date of Sept 10th for my Oct 8th wedding. I ran out of invites so I had to order 50 more!
