Have any of you started looking at invites yet? When do you plan on ordering? We are getting ours through FH's uncle, who is a printer, and I am not sure when to start the process. Will be calling him soon, but wanted to know what you all thought!
I feel like I want to start soon....just because i want time to get the printed....time in case something is wrong...then i want to try to attempt to print on the envelopes myself....and i want to send them out a lil earlier than normal because i have a lot of out of state guests!!! so in a nutshell i was thinking about going and starting to look this sunday maybe
I'm like 2 weeks after you and I'm not going to start looking until at least the Spring. I have a feeling i'm going to need that long cause I cant decide on anything! I'll probably order them in June
I counted backwards from my date, and i think I want mine to go out no later than Aug 1 - with an rsvp date of sept 25, 1 month before. is that normal timing? how long do they take to print? i was thinking about ordering in april just to make sure i have them by at least july 1 so that i can do the printing (i want to do computer calligraphy) ... is that crazy? i hope i can decided quickly!
I have catalogs and got free samples but that's about it. I threw out the ones I didn't like. We still have to work on our guest list before we figure anything out.
I am ordering mine in about a month- but only because I found what I like & I will be getting my tax check then. We want to send them out in July with August 1st as the RSVP- its really early but we are a holiday weekend with a lot of out of towners - is it too early you think?
I too have to finish my guest list. I have books to look through, but I don't think I am going to order until April-ish

WHen I looked a few months back just to get an idea, I was told to order by April or May and I'd be fine.

I've been looking since the day we set a date! And it hasn't been easy because I don't want to spend a lot and I don't want too plain. But I like a few of JeanM's styles and they are a decent price... on the pricesy side but much better than others I've seen.

I just ordered samples from online myself, I know we have time but I figure all the other big things are booked so why not do this too! lol I think it will feel more real to me when I have the invitations in my hand, I think it's psychosomatic or somethingI think our goal is to have the RSVP back by Sept 20th or so .. in case we have to chase anyone down who didnt respond

We have everything pretty much done already too...just need limos. My FSIL and I are going to DIY the invites...going to start making them soon! My mom is going to hand address them all (she has beautiful handwriting) and i dont want to ruin her summer! Between school and work I have to start soon or I will never finish in time!
