Wedding Invitations... and how long do you give people to rsvp?
Having your shower??
I truly am clueless!! I was thing STD in April... Shower in Late July/August and invites I have no idea!!

I got married October 4th and this was my timeline
STDs: January/February (as soon as the date/place were set) Wedding invitations: mid July for those required to fly in, and early August for everyone else RSVP: date was Sept 8th Shower: Shower was August 9th and it wasn't a surprise.

STD's went out in December.
Probably will be sending out invitations beginning of August.
My shower is August 29th!

I sent my STD's out in the beginning of January. I'm going to send my invites out probably 12 weeks before the date because we have a lot of OOT's and many of them are coming from Europe and Canada so I want to give them plenty of time. I have no clue when my shower is going to be, it's a surprise :) I would send your STD's as soon as possible, if you have them why wait? Are you planning your own shower? If so, then I would have it in late July/August like you said and if you aren't having a lot of OOT guests or planning on inviting B list people when you receive No's then I would send invites 6-8 weeks ahead of the wedding date :)

all (!!!) my guest are out of town.... i'll be sending my Invited in July... as soon as I get all the info and I want to inlude RD and day after brunch info on invite
