Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

We just finished our Scuba Certification... I can't wait to go 60 ft below the surface in the crystal clear water....

the last time FH and I went to Orlando we had breakfast with POOH and Friends at the Crystal Palace and Dinner with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto in Frontier land at the Tavern.

My FH wasn't excited at first either, but once we got there he had so much fun

I want to eat with Cinderella, but can never get reservations...

I HAVE MY COUNT DOWN CLOCK AT MY DESK FACING THE OTHER WAY; SO I DONT SEE IT.....BUT EVERY TIME SOMEONE WALKS BY THEY SAY OH MY 107....106....105... DAYS... I JUST LAUGH.....

Still waiting on tux place to send a sample vest to see if it matches my BP dresses. I have been waiting two weeks and the guy that took over the paperwork never bother to call the company. I am giving them to the end of this week, if they don't come thru CIAO WHITE TIE TUX IN SAYVILLE

If you are having problems with the TUX place, you should try Tuxedo Park in Carle Place & Huntington..

THe one in Carle Place is awesome... THey gave us a nice deal... And the place is clean and the TUx really are the best quality... None of those clip on ties they have real ties... Open back vests... Nope closed back full vests

Thanks for the advise, Lets see what happen with these guys first, FH said if they don't come thru then we are switching places. We haven't put any money done yet, so that is a good thing.

we went to Tuxedo Park first then looked around and no one could compare to them.

It was easier for us though, cause we decided that the vests aren't going to match the girls.. We just go t black tux's and black and silver diagonally striped ties...

I tried to go to a caligraphy class (thinking I could save some $$$) the only thing that I didn't plan on was that I would be completely talent-LESS in the art of caligraphy. Luckily the Linda's Lovelies (where we're getting the invitations) is giving us a really good deal on getting the envelopes printed.

We're ordering our invites from Linda too! She's awesome!! And we're having the calligraphy done through her...I can't stress about doing them myself!

Dress is IN and I went to visit/try on. I LOVE it!!!!!!
Ordered headpiece/veil
Booked hair
Picked invites...order will go out tomorrow...had some wording difficulties
E-pics scheduled for next week (had to postpone twice so far)
Set up appt to go over menu
Favors will be ordered very soon.
Finished pre-cana
Hopefully booking makeup soon

CLOSING on our house next week!!!!!!

And I've been very good about not peeking at my registry!!! My sisters made me feel guilty about it...I have a feeling it's very soon though.....

Had to share b/c I'm feeling pretty proud of myself

Tuxedo Park in Huntington is no more. They closed that location in March - WITHOUT notifying the brides and grooms who had reserved tuxedos for their weddings from that location. We are no longer getting our tuxes from them - we went to Rogers Tuxedo in Smithtown and had a wonderful experience (and a better price).

FH and I are were just talking to FMIL about moving upstate, PA or CT, cause we won't be able to afford a house on LI

I made my appt to go try on my dress for July 11th. Went with FH and FMIL to look at places for the rehersal dinner.. She offered to have it at her house and hire a wait staff and bar tenders and rent a tent and pay for the caterer... I was for surprised...
