89 days here, dropping off envelopes this week for calligraphy. I can't believe its pretty much time to send the invites out! I was in the grocery store last night and saw Halloween candy! Then I couldn't believe it. I was like, omg, halloween is AFTER our wedding and they're already putting stuff out. Then, all the fall clothes are in the stores. Here we go ladies! It's gonna fly from here on out!

yay! I sent envelopes to calligrapher on Sat....thanks for reminding me, I have to check to make sure she got them!!!

I have to find someone to do my flowers. I think thats the only big thing we haven't done yet. We have to sit down and do dj homework, pick readings for the church, and then the DIY projects. Invites are almost all addressed and just need stamps and to be stuffed. I really am getting excited....

I finally overcame my nerves and ventured out to the post office. I stopped at Dunkin Donuts for 2 dozen of the appropriate bribe for the post office employees and headed over to the point of no return... THE POST OFFICE. Then I did the un-undoable, bribed the clerks with the donuts into letting me hand cancel my own envelopes and said good bye to all 150 of them... Now it's all about waiting....

I said 'well, can I just stand right over there and do it myself... I'm one of THOSE brides' and he said 'Oh, OK, sure....' I sent mine out Firday and I have 5 RSVPs - Do you all want NOs or YESs?? I invited 120, I think I'll have 100, I want like 85...

I want all YES 's(of course I am sure that wont happen) . We invited 234. I invited those that we want. We are not inviting those that we hope 'dont come' I cant deal with the BS so I skipped it right from the start. Although I am sure it will cause many family battles.

Well my FH took the invitations to be mailed and i told him 'make sure they're hand cancelled.' Of course when the post office took the box, they said that someone would do it. I told my FH that i didn't like that!!! Luckily he forgot to ask about extra postage for my aunts envelope since she lives in england so he went back. He asked if they would be hand cancelled and the other post office person said no that they don't have time to. So my FH asked if he could do it and he did all 100 of them!!!!!!!!!!! What a good guy i have!

I'm torn - of the 260 people we invited the Bride-Monster in me wants all YES's but the Bride-Meiser in me is hoping for 180 YES's.

We will be inviting about 220, the practical me wants about 160-165. Its really funny, I go from being worried that we won't meet our min. of 140 to getting stressed that we are going to have to pay for 220 people. I think I'm going crazy, can't wait till sept 20 when we know how many people we have!!

Well, I work in a small office and I WANTED to invite 8 out of the 12 people, but I knew I couldn't get away with that so I just invited all of them... Then my FMIL added 11 relatives that she said *had* to be invited that FH doesn't even know - so those are the no's I want... but as Kara said 'bride meiser' needs some no's because we're paying for everything ourselves (and DAMM it's expensive!! )

I know exactly what you mean, the rotten Bride Meiser doesn't see people, she sees dollars, so when fmil wanted to add 4 people all I heard was 4x$$$ even while I smiled and said how great that would be ( ).

You give them plenty of time and stamps for the return card and still maybe 1a day if that. I mean the main family members approx 130 said yes 8 said no and 79 MIA, HELLLLLO 8/14 is my deadline and yet I am starting to freak!!!!!!!!!! I am a bridzilla and have no shame on calling these people.
