Original post by JXNOscar

Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

MY FH throw it out... I had to order another one... Last Saturday, they said it wouldn't be in for 4 to 6 weeks....

Their warehouse had it in stock....

OMG, I'm sorry - I DID read it because I said 'at least he was cleaning....' I'm glad it came in QUICK!!

This is with the ribbon:

They're both beautiful, but I really like it without the ribbon bettter.

I agree, no ribbon. It takes away from the leaf and cut-out which are the best parts. They're beautiful!

I'm either wearing Jessica McClintock (I get TONS of compliments on it EVERY time I wear it) or this coconut body spray because FH loves it - he says it smells like the surf wax he uses on his board I want to use something I like and is not too 'trendy' so it will always be around because everytime I wear it, I'll think of my wedding!

I'll have to check those out - An Ex and I lived in NYC 8 years ago and he LITERALLY chased a woman (like 60 years old) down the street and asked her what she was wearing - it was Jessica McClintock and she said 'Men CONSTANTLY ask me what I'm wearing' and I get a similar reaction, but I only wear perfume maybe 1x a month. The bottle I have is from 8 years ago!

I read an article somewhere that says if you want the scent to last all day to layer it. First use perfumed soap, then body lotion, then put on the perfume.

My FH's favorite is Beyond Paradise - so that is what I'll be wearing.

Ok, more progress was made yesterday.
I got sick at work (probably due to the pregnancy), but they decided to have a bbq under the building and the whole building reeked of charcoal b/c it was coming in through the vent....
So, i went to Tri County with my mom and wound up getting my Tiara and also got my MOH some bling bling to wear on my big day!

Re: OCTOBER ladies, come on in! This thread is for us!!!!!!

People are calling me to tell me they didn't get invites - I mailed them LAST Friday!! For instance, my step-sister got hers, but my Dad didn't get his - they live at the same address! My sister didn't get hers until yesterday but her step-daughter had gotten hers last Saturday (same address), and my sister's 'in-laws' we invited - they did not get theirs!! I'm a little concerned because these people KNOW they're invited but what of FH's friends or people my parents or his parents added!? I mean, I'll call them on the RSVP date if I didn't get a card, but I'm just concerned since they won't have gotten the invite they won’t be able to come or think they were ‘B-listed’ - and I bought expensive invites - they were $15 each! … but at the same time I don’t want to call EVERYONE and ask. Any thoughts?? SHOULD I just call everyone??

although they only went out a few days ago several people have called that live in the same house and one has received the invitation while the other has not very disturbing. as for calling them, I think you may want to wait until the day after the rsvp date. some people may be annoyed if they have received it and they think you're calling under the guise of 'making sure they received their invitation,' even though you're really not.
