Welcome to the official October thread.

This is where the '6 month girls' can chat about our weddings, how BUSY we will be this summer (summer? what summer?) and make sure we are all on track.

I'm Oct 1st, too! I did my menu Saturday. I needed to tell her how many tables, which I was surprised since I don't have anywhere near a final head count yet. My big question was 'how many tables at coctail hour...' I hate when I have to stand, so I didn't want my guests to have to. I went over how I did my placecards so there was room for it, and other special things I wanted.

Hey ladies, the 5th of sept is when I plan my menu with Majestic Gardens. Finally I can do this, they have been calling for two weeks and because of my job its hard for me to do wedding things

More RSVP are rolling in and the due date is the 22nd of sept.

I did my menu last night!!!!!!!!! I was very pleased with everything and they have fixed up our room as well - new carpet and new ceiling.

My RSVP date is tomorrow and of course, I have like 38 outstanding...(out of 120) So far I only have 13 'No's' - I know most of those outstanding RSVPs are 'yeses', but there's 8 that I think will be 'no' I'd really like to know so I can informally ask other people who really want to go but I am not super close to... Why, oh why is it so difficult to put that card in your mailbox?????????

Girl I wish i knew!!!!! I only have 1 more person I am awaiting on and she has until tomm or I will call her up and say SORRY you had months and I will put her butt as a NO, plain and simple. I love the excuses these people come up with sooo funny..........

30 days for me as I am October 1st. Going to finalize the menu tonight. Are there any questions/concerns I should address with the hall?

Make sure everything you want is in writting and you get a copy of the bill/contract.......

So much left to do!
I haven't had any hair or makeup trials, haven't done programs, need shoes, haven't arranged rehearsal dinner, have no shoes, haven't talked to band about songs, my dress wont be in for 2 weeks, the bms don't have their dresses yet.

And oddly I'm not that stressed about it.
I must be nuts!!

I can't believe you Oct. 1st ladies are so calm.

My RSVP date is tomorrow and I only have 57 responses out of 170 invites sent. Why u ask. Because people, especially my greek family & friends are insane. Not to mention the fact taht I caved and invited more guests than I wanted to to make FH and FMIL happy--Big mistake. Oh well, I cannot lose any more sleep over this. I am thinking of hiring a bouncer for the reception and turning the late ones away
Even one of my bridesmaids didn't respond yet--its sick.

Lots to doo still but very excited to finalize the menu. Also signed a lease on an apt today. :)
No furniture yet, but at least we have a home--and a place to put all the shower presents.:)

Well, I have to do menus, placecard holders (I am doing a MASSIVE DIY), cardbox, homemade centerpieces, handmade 'curtain' ... I have so many DIY projects.... and I'm oddly not stressed either...

NAAAAAAAAAAAAA, well does going to the tanning salon count??? It's for the wedding??? ANyone else starting yet??????????

p.s Dumb question but can u use sun screen on your face in those tanning beds, i don't want my face to burn, i hardly ever went to a tanning salon...
