October Mommies

How is everyone feeling?

Is anyone experiencing Braxton hicks contractions?

Is everyone just about done with the pregnancy?

Are you all ready for babys arrival?

I started to get really uncomfortable just over the past week or so, I will be 35 weeks on Saturday. I have been having some mild cramping (feels like pms cramps and lower backache) but nothing consistent. The bathroom trips have also increased, and on average I go every 2 hours. I haven't been sleeping, I am up every 2-3 hrs for bathroom and always stay up for atleast 30 mins afterwards -- I guess its just natures way of preparing me for whats ahead!?!

We are sortof ready for baby, I have all the clothes washed and the bassinet set up in our bedroom but we havent even STARTED the nursery -- we have all the furniture and the bedding - we just need to do flooring and paint. Hopefully by the end of this month

Hope everyone is feeling good!

Its coming QUICK!!!

I am feeling a lot of what you have. I just started my 35th week. Back pains are more frequent. I have a hard time getting comfortable. When I stand my feet hurt, when I sit my back gets tense. So I can't win.

I'm having a lot of problems with indigestion. Not so bad during the day but at night it's really bad and it's to the point where everything I eat hurts.

And sleep? What's that? I can't get comfortable at night.

We're getting ready for the baby's arrival. We bought our house in May and we've been doing a lot of work so the nursery is a little delayed. We painted and we've put up molding throughout the room. We're choosing out a carpet now and hope to have it down in a week. If I ever have my shower we'll be able to start putting the room together.

It's weird how 5 weeks feels so far away and so close at the same time. I have to say though that I have really enjoyed my pregnancy. I'm not to the point where I want the baby out. I've actually been quite comfortable until the last week or so.

Hi there! I'm at 37 weeks and doing pretty well. Sleep? I don't get that anymore either. I've experienced a little 'lightening' and can breathe A LOT better now that baby isn't smushing my lungs anymore . My feet, ankles, and fingers have started to retain a little fluid, enough for me to notice but not enough that its noticeable. Thank goodness I can still wear sandals for now!

The nursery is ready to go, the baby's clothes, etc. are all washed and put away (as of this past weekend), and we just picked up some 'supplies' (diapers and wipes). I've got the baby's hospital bag packed, now I just have to get my own stuff together. I feel like time is running out and I still have a lot of little things to do.

I apologize if TMI, but as of last Friday I was 70% effaced and not dialated at all. I haven't felt any Braxton Hicks contractions yet so I'm wondering when baby will want to meet his mommy and daddy. I have my next check-up tomorrow so we'll see what kind of progress (if any) I've made since last week.

Glad to hear that the other October mommies are doing well! We're in the home stretch, not much longer to go!

Hi there! I am 34 weeks and have my good days and not so good days. Some days I don't even feel pregnant, while others I just can't get comfy and get lots of pains. I don't think I have felt and Braxton Hicks, but I did wake up last night from a sharp pain. But I was half asleep so it could have just been the way I was laying. My main complaint would have to be the sharp pain I get near my right ribs. Plus, my upper abdomen skin is extremely sensitive. It just feels raw all the time.

Our nursery is ready to go, except for my furniture which is backordered until mid- October! Good thing we have the pack and play with bassinet we plan to use at first. Our friends and family have been very generous and have bought us everything we need from furniture to car seats, strollers and even diapers.

We have been taking a birth class and tonight will take a breastfeeding class. So we have been trying to prepare taking advantage of the resources around us.

I am definately ready for baby to be born so that I will not be preggo anymore, but am a little freaked out about actually having a baby. Like coming home from the hospital and feeling like...ok....now what do we do??
