October wedding - when to have my shower?

I'm really clueless when it comes to showers

, so is my MOH
When should I have my shower?
Is last week of August OK or is it to early? What is appropriate?

mine is the first week in august, i think any time that month is fine

I think any time is fine, typically showers fall within 12-16 weeks of your wedding date..

I don't know WHEN mine is, but I have a feeling it will be some time in June-I know my mom didn't want it in the summer-and having it in September is out of the question, because work for me is insane. SO we'll see.

I was wondering the same thing....I think July/Aug will be good. I was on the fence about the shower...i didnt want one but maybe a get together with a select group will be nice

i dont know for sure, cause my mom & sister are trying their hardest to keep it a surprise..but im pretty sure it's gonna be in July or August...

Be careful with the last week in august a lot of people go away and make plans more than 2 months in advance. I made sure i sent out my STD's for my wedding right away for this reason

i think the summer is perfect. My sister has some dates up her sleeves for mine and I am desperately trying to play detective!

August or July..

I'm praying for end of July on my end.. Theres just to many things going on In August.. Including FSIL due to have her first baby.. FH's birthday, FSIL 1 year wedding anniversary, FMIL and FFIL's wedding anniversary.. Our dating Anniversary.. So yeah.. Not wanting the August thing, ut it probally will be then because July is not that far from now, which means people would have to be planning already, which I don't think they have.
